Thing is AQ staff prepares releases much farther in advance then the others do, so AQ can take the hit much better. And AQ graphics really aren't that bad except for the old stuff

Testing will PROBABLY be available to Guardians, Dragon Lords and Star Captains. As AQW runs on a subscription system it remains to be seen if it will also allow access to testing.

Cost will probably be somewhere around $19.95, the same as Guardian, Dragon Lord and Star Captain. Please note that that is the price for a single character in the other games.

Remember, these are just guesses based on AE's previous games and are by no mean fact.

@ robowarrior, statistically the beta will probably be mem only.

I am very glad that the KoO is working with you to make this balanced from the start, Fal. One more question: Will this game be more storyline development based, or will there be things like classes, stats, etc?

A fifth game, eh? I like the idea of more games out there. Still 44 levels (!) from maxing out my AQ character, and not even remotely close to maxing out my DF chicky, so I don't know how much I can put into it in the early stages without losing any semblance of a social life. I don't particularly like MQ or AQW (hence no donatorship), so I hope this is more interesting. I have a good feeling, though.

My sincerest good wishes to the dev team. Hope to see something really exciting!

Pros:
- One time Payment
- Artwork
- Races.... Drakel FTW!
Cons:
- To early for a new game.
- Name sucks... No offence..... I mean... WARP FORCE?????? O_O That msut mean big and mean space ships no?
- AQ style? FAIL! Use a new engine like MQ/DF... But the old styled AQ.. meh....
- Beta... member only.... fail.. >.>

AQ is a great engine

We don't know how they're going to do the beta testing but it probably will be if you payed in other games.
Warp Force sounds awesome.

And its never too early for a new game

DF came out in 2005
MQ in 2006/7(can't remember)
and AQW in 2008

Member only beta's all well and good and almost every member will agree. Without people actually paying for the games there would be no new game. It'll open to all players eventually.

To early for a new game? I agree to a point. AQW still lacks alot of core features (IMO) and could do with some further work. However, the game isn't even in Beta yet so we'll see what surprises time brings. Perhaps this will draw peoples attention away from AQW which isn't to good as it relies on monthly fees. We'll see...

Names sort of opinion related. I've never been a big fan of AE's game names (besides DF) but is it really that big a deal anyway?

As for the AQ style, it won't be identical. None of AE's games are. Besides, lots of people enjoy AQ and as it's a spin-off from AQ it's smart from a business point of view to try appeal to fans of the original.

EDIT: Mech Quest started sometime in September 2007 from what I remember.

Nick I have to reply you some stuff.
You know that this project will probably make Artix Entertainment be low on money again right? + A new game means less cool updates in all others. Warp Force sounds to me like a device of hyper-speed to travel through space (yes, indeed something like Star Trek) and I doubt AE will do such a thing.. (though it will be COOOOOOL!). And I must say that the AQ engine is safer than the others but has some flaws.... For example the scalling system lacks exactity, battle system can sometimes be laggy (even on fast computers) and some other minor stuff.
P.S: MQ = 2007

Yeah, I gave up on my 755 forum teaser idea after reading Gal's second post.

Anyway, this sounds fantastic. The art looks to be simply phenomenal--I have no problem at all with any of the other games' art, but imagine if we could have a game with art like this.

I truly hope WF will become one of my staple games. AQ is by far my favorite of them and has always been, since DF came out, so I am very excited that this uses the same engine. I believe I will be sticking to Human, as I do in DnD.

EDIT: Note the URL in that picture: Virendual.jpg. We can assume the "dual" part is because there are two of them. Therefore, this ship/creature/entity is, I think, called Viren. Cool. :D

Yes, AE will be lower on money but you have to spend money to earn more. It's an investment. As for your repeated comments on less updates in other games it's already been said by many member and Falerin that there will be minimum impact on the other games. Read some of the previous posts and you might understand why.

I'm pretty sure AE will in fact have space travel, given the facts that the details Galanoth posted said setting would be all over the galaxy. And why wouldn't they? It isn't exactly much harder to do than other things in the game just do it like AQs travel system except with planets not areas on a planet

tflo: Also, it doesn't have nearly the same ring to it. All the others imply something mission-y: --Quest, --Fable, --Quest, --Quest (Worlds). Is Warp Force the final name for the game...? I know MQ was going to be Assault Mecha before it was changed. Perhaps this will be the same.
