Hello and welcome to stage one of the WarpForce Mystery Launch. This puzzle will unfold over time, starting now at the end of May and continuing through the month of June. Each individual piece of the puzzle will appear in series as the previous ones are solved, and the mysteries they unfold unlock to lead you closer to the secrets being hidden. Only when the the final puzzles are solved can you win. It is only the final puzzles that have a winner or winners. So you are encouraged to work together. The puzzles will be of many styles but all will lead toward the ultimate conclusion.

You may attempt to solve the puzzle here on the forums in the puzzle thread, on IRC, around the office cooler, while waiting in line for movie tickets, at the amusement park, with your real life friends at the beach or wherever else you will like. We encourage you to share your findings with others. Spoilers are definitely allowed, but please, make sure you include them in the appropriate spoiler tags like this:

In addition to the puzzles there will be short snippets written from an in-character perspective linking the puzzles together. All of the puzzle solutions will ultimately be content that is revealed directly in game and even the in-character snippets may end up gathered together in an Admiral's Log, somewhere.

Participating in this series of games is entirely optional. You need not participate in this puzzle at all to get full enjoyment of WarpForce. The content of these puzzles will neither affect NOR be required as part of gameplay in any way, and is intended as part of the "teasers" we have been releasing along the way.

That said, we do hope you participate and enjoy the journey.

Please keep content in the thread about the individual puzzle being solved, discussion of that puzzle and attempts to reach a solution. You are also welcome to speculate on the overall meaning of the puzzles and the greater mystery they might reveal, but if you are doing that on the AE Forums you should restrict such posts to the Speculation and Theories forum area.

Hello Lorians,

I am Falerin Ardendor, a visitor from another realm. I am a keeper of the legends of Lore. I am known as the LoreMaster. My assistants and I have been gathering information in anticipation of the Coming of the WarpForce. We know only a very little about this mysterious group and their goals. Signs of their coming have already been spotted in several places. Clearly someone has a plan and an idea and being the nosy information gatherer that I am. I want to know what that plan is. I need help from someone if I am going to achieve this. I would love for that someone to be you.

The first message was an intercepted transcription based upon a recording from somewhere well above the surface of Lore. The video of the original recording is completely garbled but it appears to be some sort of dedication ceremony. Of the sort one might encounter when beginning a long adventure.

Unfortunately my language transfer units are completely non-functional and the phonemes and letters of the original recording have been transcribed quite wrongly.

I could solve it myself but I am quite busy. I ask your aid in this endeavor.

This is obviously a code. I'm pretty sure HI=TO, meaning every H and I are T and O. That brings us to

 The name is probably one that has already been used in AdventureQuest, WarpForce sneak-peeks, or the Truthseeker logs.

Of we can find that than we can quickly decode 6 letters.

This is obviously some sort of cryptoquip or code. Running it through my handy decoder does nothing, so our only option is to attempt to solve it like so.

The most commonly used letter in the English language is "e." Assuming this letter will turn out to be English--because it is not a given that we know any other languages--we can hypothesize that the most commonly used letter will be e.

Q: 4
W: 5
A: 4
Z: 2
G: 7 (mostly in the name)
I: 7
J: 3
H: 8
F: 1
K: 3
P: 4
B: 2 (both in one word, separated by only one letter)
C: 3
N: 3 (mostly in name)
T: 2 (at the end of "CHTT"

I counted the recurrence of each letter present. Trends are shown. From this we can gather that either H or I = E (not G because I doubt E would show up so many times in the name and almost nowhere else in the letter.) A may also be E because of its recurrence in the word "QWA," which I thought might be "the." If QWA = THE, then we have:

We also may be able to say that K = S because it is the most common end-of-word letter. Then we would have:

Truthseeker Logs are not needed and will not be needed for any of these puzzles.

@Nex I doubt H or I is e, not a lot of two letter words with e is them, your counting is also wrong, you give 2 Ts when there are 4.

 *looks at the information* I think this is like a word scramble, you find the words missing letters, eliminate unlikely answers and see what your results are.

otherwise we'd be talking sudoku and These are letters, not numbers so that's out.

Word scramble is the only way I can think of that we could solve this puzzle.
