there was a flood in 1951, but it doesn't have anything to do with the ocean. I'm going to check the births and deaths.

I have no idea what number you are talking about. there shouldn't be any 4 digit numbers in here except for possibly the rings, but that seems to be 157 like the wheel order

if that was directed at me, I feel it's important to note rings can be double digit since they represent alphabet letters and thus can be any number 1-26

Since he said "just a random thought" and "assuming" it MIGHT not be certain.
but then again it could have been an ordinary clue...
(y am i so suspicious of everything....)

searching senarian alphabet turned up this possible source of information. Sadly I'm not at my home computer so I don't have the aquired time to make sense of it, if it makes sense at all.

"the Senarian,
better known as the Alexandrine,"

Alexandrine: a line of six iambic feet, often used to mark a conclusion in a work which is in heroic couplets: Alexander Pope in his Essay on Criticism (1709) satirised this technique (which he was not above using himself): ' Then, at the last and only couplet fraught | With some unmeaning thing they call a thought, | A needless Alexandrine ends the song, | That like a wounded snake, drags its slow length along.' The final line of that extract is of course itself an alexandrine. Spenser used an alexandrine to end his modified form of ottava rima. The same word is used to describe a line of twelve syllables which is the dominant form of French verse. See syllabic verse.

idk if this has anything to do with it, but I switched the letters to greek and gave them the number values using the beta code as well....and assuming I=J and V=B.

"What do you like?" questioned the old man.
"Pepperoni," replied Daniel.
"Then, close your eyes and take a bite," instructed the old man, "and think pepperoni."
Daniel did as he was told. A wide smile broke out on his face. "It tastes like pepperoni!"
"These are Senarian," offered the second. "They taste like whatever you want them to taste like."

Not sure if it's relevant, but if it is, that could be trouble as it seems this Senaria is home to purple mushrooms that taste like anything, and I have NO idea what sort of alphabet they use there!

But if it's referring to the origins of senarian poetic verse, Krayola and Dragonnightwolf may have some inkling using Greek. The first 3 letters of the Greek alphabet are alpha, beta, gamma. Not sure what the time delay tactic bit means, unless it's implying that the first code (the "original") was messed up and meant to cause us a delay?

Just a note, but both this and the enigma one we didn't solve have the same amount of letters, which coupled with the message makes me think this is the same message but different method as that one

Star Trek: Senarian egg broth is a beverage with properties said to keep a persons strength up. In 2370, Mareel offered the injured Chief O'Brien a cup to help ease his pain

SEE OWL?

Eldron's 'owl' is Keeshish, Keeshish-Kin, KIN?

kin is a three letter word.

have no fear friends, I'll start looking into greek-scripts etc as soon as I get home which should be around fiveish.

In the meantime I'm glad that Lkeas realized that part about senaria, I read that myself but I had actually forgotten the reference about the mushrooms.

Well technically a sea is a large body of salt water that travels inland. An ocean is a large body of salt water that surrounds land.

I my dear Kors, Live in the United States of America. Getting back on track though rather then quarrel a debate about the ocean/sea spectrum.

as requested by Lkeas, two direct greek alphabets that would make pure practical sense.
