I came to AQ during the beginning of the Dracomancer Arc, back when Cyrus was first introduced and the Dragon War was still in full swing. I was a young adventurer then, still stretching his legs and trying to tell the difference between Zorbak and Kabroz. Then, one week into the war, I joined the Guardians - and I became a full-fledged member. I've fought in every major war, battle, campaign and defeated more monsters than I can possibly hope to keep count of.

A huge portion of them were vampires, during the days I was a Slayer and a Werewolf. The greatest time I ever had in fact, was spent hunting down and killing individual Vampire Lords. In my heyday - I would cut down at least three dozen a week.

Then the War of the Fangs went and ended, and then I became a Paladin - the most fun I ever had in those days was probably when I fought against the Necromancers and killed huge numbers of undead. Although I could not prevent the Necromancers from creating Undead Paladins, I still tallied up a substantial portion the Light Side's victories.

Those were great times.

I remember when my battle strategies revolved around the bag o'bones spell, undead mutant (necromancer class), and the lycan slasher special. Those were much more monotonous times :)

^ I remember those same weapons as considered as being some of the best.

Looking at my character page, I see Adventure Quest is getting really close to being a decade old, my how the time flies!


The great fire war, that beautiful fire staff with the four orbs, how great it was at the time with the awesome vanilla ice katana. The frostvale that followed with the shovel of doom, axe master armor, and the ever elusive slax axe ...

Wow I remember that drakel war like it was yesterday ! Srsly was it in 07?


Oh well what i miss is being Non-guardian and want to get Werepyre and trying to lvl my Vampire armor But always gets killed by the darn vampires

Oh my goodness, i dont even know where to start XD Whenever i think back i actually get melancholic :o I remember years ago looking for something to do after i was done with my homework when, by mere coincidence, i saw twilly in a random site and click on its eye and voila! I remember getting most of the ubers x) yeah kids, that what we used to call them >_> golden, shadow, reign, asguardian, poise, etc etc etc it was so fun to get them and use them. I remember killing a hard mob with my hp full (yeah Kel al w/e was hard back then, there use to be a battle strategy post on how to kill it, hence my rly old signature >_>) But what i miss the most is part of the community :o Nothing personal guy, u all are awesome<3 but ya know after taking a 3(ish) year break I now feel like in a foreign country o-o I remember me in Q&A answering questions, ansenbense always answering any question i had (u too oradolf XD btw back then, like 3 years ago, i forgot to thank u for guiding me to ur godly guide to gods so i thank u now XD), icemaster yeti keeping everything in order with a smile, Astral with a y so serious smile thanking everyone for their hard work. I remember nex del vida and his always interesting posts in GD (i did find them interesting o.o), ssjgoku5 always beating me to post images in info submission XD (its cool tho :o), and how to forget Stephen Nix forming an "under ground" society to get all the pedia info in a matter of. . . sometimes hours XD and sora (aeragon) , u were just awesome x) Now that is what i miss the most :o Looking back and remembering all these awesome people, and looking for them just to find out most of them are not here anymore :I or they simply dont remember u ;o like i said, dont take me wrong guys :o love ya'll<3 but ya know, those were good times<3 I suppose its time to have more good times huh XD?

I think that old Frogzilla dance movie is my most nostalgic memory. Loved Frogzilla and Werewolf form!

I just have to say, despite the epic fun-times I had as a little kid wandering around LORE with wide eyes, I have to applaud the staff for the Sweep, and higher quality releases in general. I don't think I'll ever meet such a dedicated group of people for such a silly internet game ever again in my life.

I remember when, before the sweep, you never saw any equipment above level 95. I remember when the Reign Plate was the most offensive armour, when resistances could go as high as 450%, and monsters never stood a chance :P

I miss.... the beta stage of epicduel. Everyone kinda sucked so everything was more equal and free

For AQ i miss the time at lvl 1 where i could quite literally not go anywhere, not kill anything, and not do any intro's or quest. What was in like 2008 or something, and i'm quite memory lacking of what i did wrong

I remember back in 2011, the Staff would constantly lead us on with "Archmage Class! Coming Soon!" on the Newsletters...

 I remember that I joined AQ when Nemesis was still called Nightmare... Good times.
Also, I remember the Earthquake Hammer being in Yulgar's shop, I don't know when that thing went rare but I had it and I really liked using it when I was low-leveled, lolz.

 that's hidden little hole near Twilly, that nobody was allowed to spoiled, and leaded to endless fight against darkness mobs without any heal.
I'm still cliking everywhere to find this hidden quest again.

I remember when I first joined, the Devourer Saga was halfway done, the part 3 was just finishing... I went into the inn, pressed on the link, and went to the very last quest and died first monster..

Well, geez..back in 2003 I can vaguely remember bits and pieces..But I remember the graphics where kind of bad and poorly drawn. it was just a week or two before Christmas I loved AQ so much. I think what I loved about it so much was how easy and addicting it was. AQ being a cloud game was a "huge" plus for me. I didn't buy the full game until 2005 though because my parents back then didn't want to pay for this game. I think I remember seeing an ad saying "Imagine what AQ will look like in X years!" it was pretty awesome.

I really just played the game casually over the years. I also remember nemesis being called Nightmare and that goal seemed so far away and the set seemed so divine. I didn't discover the forums until much later on. These forums kind of changed the way I looked at it, and I had a lot more fun with it since then. I remember the gemblade and how that was an awesome weapon. I don't remember any fire wars though, maybe my memory is just really bad.

Even though it was poorly drawn I loved the puns and jokes. (There are still, but it is a bit more on the serious side now)

In my day, Golden axe had the best purchasable damage range and Werewolf Form was the best DPS armor.

And we had to grind our gold from that one vampire-werewolf war quest. Endlessly clicking through that conversation, I still remember the days.
