I remember spending the better part of 3 hours trying to beat Carnax one on one.
And the Bobblehead Devourer was one of my favorite pets ever. Shame that I sold it... I really wish I still had it with me.
And Undead Giant was the best thing ever until Undead Mutant. Barely used anything else.

I remember I sold my Father time shield because I already had eye of naab, and for some reason if i recall the devourer saga went rare for some time which compelled me to get rid of one of the 2 shields. How unfortunate that I sold my Father time shield i miss you my old Friend oh gawd i also sold my blow out shield and bunny jammies last year my god so much nostalgia sold whyyy

I remember how class training was how I learned lore and basically how to play. I miss classes; they were the best, and we need moar for all us 100-150!

I remember the old character faces and how horrible they were drawn.

AQ never will be the same 'Lunch Break-sized RPG' again.

^ And why is that?

I also remember how I spammed Undead Giant for a good 10 or 20 levels. Then, I started to buy spells and I realized "Oh ok, so that's what all that MP is for!"

No love for E . Anyways, I remember Ghin's first strike on the Guardian Tower, it wasn't that long ago, but apparently Ghin will be attacking a lot more in the future so that memory will be good to have.

^^ Much love for E here. I didn't actually know v slayer was updated till I read your post. I don't know if it's still like that, but slayer armour triple attacking just like E was so sweet. Stab Slash Blast! (or was it the other way around, lol)

@blackelemental
The amount of time and effort it takes to grow your character today would take over a thousand lunch breaks back in '04. The level cap back then was only 100 and there was no housing/estates to buy and maintain. The Exp. numbers per level was also significantly lower, so you could level up several times in as little as an hour.

Anyone remember the B.U.R.P. Invasion? *hugs Cheese Shield*

I remember being SUPER nooby, and I would always LOOK at alphanar and try to beat it, I always failed it, then one day at level 73 I think I was, I went back there, and I FINALLY beat Geldar, then I saw the gorgeous reign plate: Level 75... I almost broke out into tears... the next few weeks I trained to level 76, got the reign, shadow, and tried gold set(Failed) I quit a few months after :(

Sigh....I remember thinking Dragon Wings from the Dracomancer armor was the most powerful attack. What gives me the most nostalgia though, by far, is the Shower Monster at the top of Yulgar's Inn, next to the room with the universal answer: 42. I still remember that sign: 'Beware of the LeopardZard'
Maybe they should introduce the LeopardZard sometime. *hint* *hint* Maybe it could be another unbeatable!

I remember spamming mage powers and spell for the first five years, and only buying armour and weapons cos they were cool.

Then they switched the MP ratio, and everyone was told that they couldnt be gods anymore and would have to learn how to beat stuff up with your body instewad of your mind...

On the bright side, the water, towns, map and Twilly were improved dramaticly since 2002... especialy Twilly

Edit

Those fricking Brups... they just wouldnt die! Why do they get so large? Who fed them that much cheese!!!

I remember the good old days when I relentlessly fought the Frogzard Challenege and repeatedly checked the Homepage from my name to pop up. A few hundred 'zards later and no luck

Hmm, I still think that was a scam to get more players online, I meen, someone I noticed got on that page and stayed on for a month.
Also, even if you were a guarddian, the server could still be full!
Nostalgia is good when reflecting on quests and on how it was possible to do EVERY SINGLE THING in AQ in one afternoon...there were like, three quests and four locations.
Remember that its better now though.

I miss trying to become friends with a cave. It never did like me very much.

EDIT: I have also gotten into reading the old DNs. My, oh my. I remember so much how many times we hated on the staff for the lack of spoilers/too many spoilers in there.
