No, the level cap for WarpGuardians is 48.
The high level items in the Shop are for the future of WF, when the level cap is raised to that level.
The level cap will be increased every month.
    quote:

The maximum level you can reach is currently 48 for WarpGuardians, and 32 for WarpTrackers(free players)!

    quote:

  • Normal WF releases will generall occur around the middle of each month.
In this case the level cap for WarpGuardians and WarpTrackers(free players) will be increased.

  • Bonus releases("bonus updates") can be one time a month outside of the normal montly WF update.

The only qualms I have with your guide, MS, are that many other people feel you don't need so much END at low levels, yet you still recommend 35+ endurance through levels 30-45, when you don't need any more than 40-45 at Lv.48 for tanks, and 20-25 for non-tanks. Monsters just aren't strong enough yet to warrant training so much HP. I think DEX is better for the blocking power, anyway.

Also, you have multiple copies of the same build under different names, which is confusing and causes unnecessary clutter. For example, EngineGunner is similar to Pure Engineer, and Balanced Engineer is closer to Tank Engineer. You also seem to have forgotten that some folks like those lucky-variant builds, to take advantage of lucky strikes and going first more often.

Here are some good Lv.48 stat builds for different variants of engineer, based on what I've seen people claim to have success with.
Pure Engineer: 140 INT, 100 DEX
    Tank Engineer: 100 INT/DEX, 40 END
    Beast Engineer: 90 INT/CHA, 60 DEX
Lucky Engineer: 80 INT/DEX, 20 END, 60 LUK (my personal favorite)

Ok, you are right Darius. Thanks! I'll put your suggestions into it ASAP. :p
Kaelin and I work together to manage this guide.
You also may give your opinions, suggetions even to work together with us if you like! :-)
This guide will be updated ASAP, probably we would have a new thread about Stats Training soon, not sure though!

Especially with the scarcity of equipment, players have about enough gold to train 140 Main + 100 Alternate. With that it mind, it is worth identifying what training is possible across all levels while making a reasonable assumption about gold to spend.

I am going to lay out the types of focused builds a player can get by setting aside about half of their gold for stats (I will use 55% as a hard limit). Sweep standards probably assume that a player will spend more on equipment, and determined players can spend more (and squeeze out an extra 5 or 10 points per favored stat), but this should serve as a blueprint for what is possible without sacrificing too much. I will assume that total earned gold is Total_XP / 3 + 200 / 3.

Since it hasn't been mentioned yet, the formula for training a stat once in WF is: Cost = trunc(10*1.25^(NewStat/5))

    L10: 50/0/0
    Total Earned Gold: 770
    Training Cost: 411

    L15: 60/15/0
    Total Earned Gold: 1547
    Training Cost: 718

    L20: 70/30/0
    Total Earned Gold: 2790
    Training Cost: 1218

    L25: 85/40/0
    Total Earned Gold: 4787
    Training Cost: 2407

    L30: 95/55/0
    Total Earned Gold: 8003
    Training Cost: 3938

    L35: 105/70/0
    Total Earned Gold: 13187
    Training Cost: 6442

    L40: 115/85/0
    Total Earned Gold: 21537
    Training Cost: 10574

    L45: 125/100/0
    Total Earned Gold: 34990
    Training Cost: 17452

    L50: 135/115/0
    Total Earned Gold: 56653
    Training Cost: 29028

    L55: 145/130/0
    Total Earned Gold: 91537
    Training Cost: 48730

    L60: 155/140/5
    Total Earned Gold: 147727
    Training Cost: 76220

    L65: 165/150/10
    Total Earned Gold: 238213
    Training Cost: 119172

    L70: 175/160/15
    Total Earned Gold: 383943
    Training Cost: 186281

    L75: 185/170/20
    Total Earned Gold: 618647
    Training Cost: 291135

    L80: 200/180/20

The level 100+ items are for the future of WF, when the level cap is raised to that level. At the moment, don't worry about them, just remember that they are there so you can upgrade your current items to a higher level when you reach that level

As for Strategy, an effective combination I've seen at lower levels is a cross between Cryo (Ice) Bombs, and grenades (Heavy Gunner Model). Seems to work well with Technician (Engineer) builds. A quick way to win a fight so to speak.

Seriously, if we're gonna have to have a battle to raise our stats the fight should atleast be a fairly trivial one so that you won't lose unless you're seriously unlucky or just not paying attention.

On all the other games that came from AQ this isn't a problem, but on WarpForce its a really irritating one IMHO. I posted about this during the beta but I get the feeling it probably just got lost in the long posts, but either way it hasn't been addressed that the stat trainer not only hits on average between 2 to 3 hits and will take off your health in great chunks, while you as a low level (currently 8) can only hit for somewhere between 5 and 15 on a guy who'll have more health than you at the start anyway.

It seems to come in waves, in the first couple of levels I couldn't beat him so I figured maybe its not intended for you to worry about stats, and tried again at level 5 and managed to succesfully raise strength to 20. Now at level 8 I'm finding it impossible to beat him again, and have just tried 3 times unsuccessfully to raise strength from 20 to 25, this last time I managed to get him down to about 1/3rd of his health before I died, but the previous two times it was less than half. And I wouldn't worry about raising stats til I was a higher level if it wasn't for the fact he scales with you're level, meaning I'm going to keep struggling regardless - and disallowing spells to be cast so that I can't heal just adds insult to injury.

It probably doesn't help that all these early melee weapons seems to have ranged specials, and atleast when you're training strength and he has 65 ranged resistance then you'd pretty much have to pray it doesn't activate.

I've really enjoyed AQ and all the spin offs, they're great when no other shop-bought games are appealing to me, but unless I'm missing some obvious strategy, the stat trainer is way too strong and having a stressful battle that feels like some kind of boss fight at the end of a long quest, just to raise a stat, is almost too much to bother with.

I recommend making some use out of the massive potion total. Did you know you can get 50 potions at any given time?

Also, train your DEX stat, too. While his goes up too, the more of it you have, the less he has over you (80 DEX/85 DEX = 16/17, 20/25 = 4/5. 16/17 > 4/5). Same with STR. I typically chug 2 potions per training fight, or else just use the VBG from Saturen (Gunners).
Each battle has certain conditions. DEX has high Magic DEF, and no T+S, INT has only T+S and pets, CHA has boosted pet damage, etc. Just chug potions till you win.

Oddly, I've never had any troubles with Tronzor.

Now, on to your problem. Do you have a character page you can let us look at? Are you a WarpGuardian? If not, things'll be a bit tougher, but it should still be manageable.

As a level 8, your equipment is very limited. Personally, I'd use the Star Ninja Grasshopper. Its not that strong, but it should do for your level. Next, your weapons. You seem to have trouble hitting the monster on the weapon's special. That's fine, as he does indded have a high Ranged defense, and there actually is a solution to this. When you're trining STR, he has 15 Melee defense, IIRC, so focus on hitting him there. Use the Stun Baton XV7; a no-special weapon. You should be then set to go- prepare a heal spell ( Medic II), a gauntlet (you should only have one choice, IIRC), and a pet, any pet. Also, be sure to have your SP at its fullest.

Head over to battle Tronzor. Once your HP gets into the 50's, use the healing spell you prepared. In your Battlesuit, just keep using the Knee attack, and if you've got enough SP, use the Kick attack. Use your potions if your HP gets low; drink 2 at a time. If you're out of potions and you feel that you can't deplete his HP, drink an MP potion, and use the healing spell.

Finally, if you still can't beat him (and you're a WG), use you No-Drop weapon. It's special (the WG Dragon one), deals Void damage and is pretty strong. But only use it if you're super duper desperate, as you'll be relying on luck to win the battle for you.

Question: What the best armor for a Gunner? Also what determines damage for Gunners? Is it Luck or Dexterity? Or is it just a matter of dodging all your opponent's blows and whittling them down with "mosquito bites"?

MonsterMike9000: I have feeling your question has been answered.

The best armor for a Gunner is Heavy Gunner. It has good defenses and skills. That's my opinion. :p
    As a Gunner:
Luk is the main stats for damage.
DEX increases BTH and dodging ability.
If you want more damage, you can increase your INT for Skills/Techs and CHA for Pets.

I have figured out a strategy that takes advantage of the 'instant' battlesuit change. you use the defensive suit (in my case, AAAA energizer (i'm level 6), unless against water) and then use the Ability suit, (gunners use gunner, and strikers use ummm... ninja? maybe? anyway..) when you need to use any said ability (as in grenade) all this requires is buyins 2 suits instead of one, and memorizing the amout of EP or SP required.
