=SCRIPT=
Discussion on scripts and their translation to screen, plays, or games. Can also be used for discussing book adaptations into film. Generic film discussion goes to OOC.

=MECH=
Discussion on writing techniques and the mechanics of the process of writing. Can include the specific techniques certain authors use, the process of editing a story from the first version to ready to be published form, creation of plot lines, discussion on grammar, or mechanics underlying a style -both in prose as well as in verse-, for example. Can also include how the public school systems are now teaching it to children, and what's wrong with what they teach or what they should change to teach it better than how it is currently taught.

=AUTH=
Discussion on different authors, their work in general, comparison on different authors and including the techniques they use (specifics can also be discussed under =MECH=). Topics limited to one specific book, short story, or poem go under =PROSE= or =VERSE=.

=GRAPH=
Discussion on graphic novels, comics in general, and manga. How they're written, which you feel should be written first, or if the artwork displays the script for the comic well enough to where you don't actually need to read anything that's being said. Basically: How the art relates to the dialog. Any discussion about the mechanics should go under =MECH=.

=CHAR=
Discussion on character archetypes, specific characters, and characterization. Multiple characters being talked about from the same book or poem can go under =PROSE= or =VERSE=.

=PROSE=
Discussion on books, novels, short stories, non-fiction, everything that lays within the borders of works in prose. This is about one book, comparing two books or more against one another should go under =MECH=.

=VERSE=
Discussion on poetry, specific poems, type of poetry, song lyrics, and their adaptation to music. Comparing two different writing styles, or two different poems should go under =MECH=.

^-----For many people, navigating this sub-forum is difficult. You open one thread thinking you are about to embark on a discussion of certain ideals only to discover that it is not what you expected. To be honest with you, since I am not a big Anime watcher, I started getting frustrated in this forum because the threads that sounded interesting made no sense to me because they were about... Anime.

The AKs discussed this at length in other places, together with myself. Then, iChar and fabula put everything you spoke of and everything we discussed as the L&L staff on paper. So, after a long wait, we have tags to present to you.

The first thing you will notice is that the list is short. We don't want this to be overly complicated, yet beneficial to everyone.

Each thread newly created from here on out must have one of these tags to better help navigators choose their conversations. We would love it if those of you who have active threads right now tag your threads with the appropriate tags.

We do understand that this will take some getting used to.

So, here goes.
