 A FAQ will be put together as questions are asked. Feel free to answer each others questions if you know the answer to someone's question. Current features may change in the future and more features will eventually be added. Please try to refrain from asking about what features will be added in the future as I doubt very many people can answer that.

Questions from the official FAQ page:

Q. Is the Master Account system required to play AE games?
A. The Master Account login is required to play Epic Duel, but is not currently required to play other AE games.

Q. How do I create a Master Account?
A. Click on 'Register' at this portal site. Be sure to choose a name that is different from your other account login names. Don't use your real name. Never share this name with anyone. In order for us to help you, we require your real email address. We will not sell or share your email address. Please be sure to enter your real age, as well.

Q. How do I link my accounts?
A. Click on 'My Account' then click 'Link Game Accounts' and then follow the instructions on that page.

Q. Can I remove an account that I've linked?
A. Click Dashboard, and select game account. Then click on 'Unlink Game Account'

Q: The list of game accounts linked to my account seems incorrect?
A: Try logging out of the master account site, and log back in.


Q. How can I play games once I've linked my accounts?
A. Click on the Play Games link. This takes you to a page that lists all of your linked accounts. Each account has a Play Now link next to it. Click on the link to play the account and game that you want to play. The game will open up in a new window.

Q: Can I use my Master account login/password to log into AQ/DF/MQ/AQWorlds?
A: Not yet. That is coming soon.


Q. How can I change my EpicDuel password or Master Account Password?
A. Click on 'My Account' then 'Change Password' link. It will ask you for your old password and a new password. Then click the Change Password button. Your EpicDuel login shares the same password.

Q. I accidently archived/deleted my EpicDuel game character. Can I get it back?
A: There is currently no way for players to recover an archvived/deleted character. However, if you are paid Elite member of EpicDuel, please contact us directly for help in restoring your Elite status character.



Q. Will there be item transfers?
A. No. It's better to say that there is 'item unlock.' Cross-game achievements will make it possible for you to use items in one game that you obtained in another. Example: If you get the Blade of Awe in AQ, you will be able to get the Blade of Awe item unlocked in AdventureQuest Worlds. Coming soon.

Q. Can you link multiple accounts for the same game?
Yes, you certainly can.

Q. What if something doesn't work right? How do I get it fixed?
A. The AE Master Account System Bugs Thread is the place to go if some sort of bug in the system is giving you trouble. (Click the name of the thread to be brought to it.) Alternatively, you can use the help page and email from the link at the top of this post.

Q. How do I unlink game accounts I have linked?
A. Click on Dashboard, select the game account, then click 'Unlink Game Account'

Q. When will <feature> come out?
A. Only the game staff know. If they have not made any announcements on the subject, no one here can tell you.

So Basically, The Master Account System is to Help protect are accounts from getting Hacked/Stolen/Scammed?

Infamous Jon, yes so long as players are at least somewhat protective of their master account. (If they wind up slipping up and losing one account to theft, it is easier to prove it is theirs.) It will also provide some really neat features in the future that will also make it worth having though.

 Hey if u have master account then you linked your account thier then your account was hacked what i will do??!!

The point of the Master Account, in fact, is to prevent hacking. As long as you keep your Master Account Username secret, it should be much harder to hack your accounts. And, if one of your accounts is hacked, it will be easier to prove it is yours if it is linked to the Master Account.

the Master account is for you to inport your other AE game character stuff to your other game characters like AQWorlds mabe EpicDuel.
but you can not log in to AQWorlds with your Master Account yet because it is not finished.

As what Nex Del Vida said, The Master Account is an account that can prevent you from being hacked. My suggestion is that, they're should be a "Change Email" Option! People can get hacked easier with the "Changing email" Option. To "Change" your email, you should put your transaction code ID Number to be able to change your email.

Yes, As My Friend Jon Said, I Also Think That It Is A Good Idea Because It Can Prevent Other Players From Getting Scammed/Hacked. Even On Your Master There Should Be A Change Email Option Or Maybe Even A Change Game Password Option When You Click On One Of Your Linked Games.

Hope This Post Will Help Change Some Stuff.

 We will probably be able to convert BattleOn Game Points into the game currencies we want. Let's say I have 190 DCs, and I need 10 more to buy an inventory slot. I buy 2000 BattleOn Points, get 10 DCs and use the other 1990 on MQ, for example. If that's what the BOGP are, then that's a great system =) If not, it will probably be an even better system!

 Amen. Whatever the Captain is working on, will probably be worth all that effort he's putting in (between naps*).



*For the purpose of this discussion, said naps may be no more than a nano-second long, and no more frequent than one per week. Plus, they're all the rest he gets.

 Ooops! I made a mistake. I didn't read carefully enough the text that I emphasized earlier.
I meant to say:

"Currency that you can buy with real money that can be spent towards any type of purchase in any AE game"

That includes character upgrades and tokens/gems/dcs/acs

I have the master account but must i really play epicduel
becausei like playing df and aqw so much

Just one question did they mean if like in df you left 10 ac you can buy a item 200 dc
but you only have 190 dc then from aqw ac you can transfer to there?

But I take it we won't be able to transfer funds from one game to another i.e. convert current DCs into ACs for example? (or from DCs into BPs and then to ACs)

I have two other pondries:
1) Will we be able to transfer funds between characters within one game, ex. move DCs from one of my DF characters to another DF character on my account?

2) Will we be able to transfer items between characters within one game, ex. transfer a lvl 75 sword from my lvl 107 AQ character to my lvl 75 AQ character.

Artix posted some interesting news yesterday at portall.battleon.com
Apparently you'll be able to see all kinds of information about your character from your master account.
It also seems as if they are making a Design Notes for all their games, which should be interesting.

Does the master account protect my other accounts from getting hacked or aid in their recovery if some one does manage to get them

 If the Master Account hasn't been stolen, then it is an immense aid in retrieving any account you've linked to it back.
If it has, then all you have to do is recover it to recover all of the rest. Just proving it is your AQ account on there might help get it all back too. It simplifies the recovery process and makes it so much easier to prove stuff is yours when you've got multiple game accounts.

 In a word, yes.

In a lot of words, it provides a back-up to all your accounts, so if one gets hacked, you can use the Master Account you initially linked it up with to recover it easily. In future, it will presumably also provide the following features (or so I've gathered)

Cross game unlock (Get the Blade Of Awe in AQ, get it in AQW?)
Adventure points (Achievement system, get a lot of these for a... reward?) OR
Adventure points (Buy these on the MA, and you can distribute among all the games, in any amount you want)
One login to rule them all! (They'll eventually make it so you can use either your MA or Reg.A to log on)
Cross-game achievements (ie. Win Moglin Punter on Ebilgames, or do it in AQW, and get a reward in DF or AQ permanently)

Plus, whatever the staff has been hiding from me (they do that a lot).

Dangit, I was beaten to it due to my distractions here.
