Problems with forum staff or specific moderating decisions should be addressed following the chain of command (AK -> head mod -> admin -> head admin, starting with the person you have an issue with and working your way up). General policy of a specific board is also usually best discussed with that board's head moderator.

Late Reply. :P

Hm,

Not really...

First you PM the Head Moderator of that Board, then Post in Forum Suggestions. ;)

@Phoenix: But I would like to see other people opinion on the board I would like to complain about.
Is that the only way to complain about how a certain board is ran? :/

I saw you on ED Zyrian :P
So in Forum Suggestions, I just put "I suggest you moderate this board better, etc etc"? I'd like to make a detailed post about a complaint I have and my only suggestion would be to moderate it better and stop being so strict. Will I still able to post there with my issue?

"Why don't you appoint some temporary Moderators or ArchKnights in <insert spammy board>?"

If we trust someone enough to make them a temporary ArchKnight, or promote an ArchKnight to a temporary Moderator, then we trust them enough to promote them full-time. There is no "half" or "temporary." If you feel a specific board is having problems, please let that board's Head Moderator know.

ubear: Yes, I saw you too. But you ran away. :(

If you think a board could be improved, you can make a suggestion here. If you have a complaint, though, that generally means you have a problem with a specific AK or moderator or a specific moderation decision.

This should NOT be taken to a post.

Let me quote the Comprehensive Rules:
quote:

However, if you have issues with the decisions or actions of a member of forum staff, there is one acceptable manner of appeal and that is to follow the chain of command, as defined below.

For an ArchKnight, you send them a PM in an attempt to resolve the issue privately. You do not post about it in a thread. Any public posts about an AK's decisions will be removed and warned as trolling. If you are unable to privately resolve your issue, you may contact the head moderator of the forum in question. See the Forum Staff or Staff Assistants list to determine whom to contact. If you are unable to resolve your issue with the head moderator of the forum, you may contact the Head of the ArchKnights. If the AK Administrator cannot resolve your issue, you may contact the Head Administrator of the Forums. The Head Admin's word is final.

For a Moderator or an Administrator, you send them a PM in an attempt to resolve the issue privately. Like with the AKs, any public posts about a moderator or administrator's actions will be removed and warned as trolling. If you are unable to resolve your issue with them in private, you may take it to the Head Administrator. The Head Admin's word is final.

This is the method you MUST use. Trying to use another method means that have not read or are not obeying the rules.

Aelthai, so it's acceptable to complain about an Administrator?
Through PM that is.

@Zyrian: I only just realised it was you. I apologise for running. :D

Thanks for the answers so far.

EDIT
Nevermind, thanks all.

Issues with an Administrator are handled the same way as issues with a Moderator. You need to make a good case - "complaining", particularly about someone, generally does not get one very far.
