Are we allowed to have permanent font colors?

If you mean always posting in a certain color, yeah, that's fine. As long as it's not an annoying or hard to read color, like bright yellow or something like that.

There is no setting to make your font a different color permanently. You have to add the color tags each time you post to have your font the color you want.
