I saw it while viewing my inbox and I was just curious what it was and how it is used.

Outsmarting Bugs

The list shows you the people who are in your address book and online at the time.

You just add someone to your address book by clicking the

button under their avatar, and then when you go to your inbox if they are online they will show up in the Online Buddy List.
