one of the things that makes the DF encyclopedia so great is that it was the best weapons for each level and for gold and z-tokens. While I realize that AQ has far more weapons and less definitive definitions of what the best weapon is, I still think it would be a great idea if people on the forums could work towards this in the AQ encyclopedia

DF's system is a bit different - A-Z indexes and other such lists are kept in the sub-forums, while the more detailed guides are in the Guides section. Every encyclopedia has it's own system, and as Chii pointed out, you can use those sub boards. Also I believe AQ's weapon damage works differently and it's a lot more detailed than DF's current system, so it's harder to sort AQ's weapons by power.
