@megakyle: money. It's all about the money, obviously. I actually enjoy the estate system right now despite the Z-Token cost because they not really an integral part of the story. It is, much like it's nature as a side project, something you do on the side - not the main reason for playing AQ (good storylines, bad puns, etc.). Now if this system was mandatory for the full enjoyment of the game I would be pretty ticked off right about now, but since it isn't, I'm okay with it. Besides, Z-Tokens - although stupidly difficult to acquire unless you watch at least five Ballyhoo videos a day and farm like a complete maniac - are at least mildly OBTAINABLE in-game. In DF, AQW, and MQ, the only way to acquire them is through Ballyhoo, giving AQ a little bit more leeway on how many items they can choose to make Z-Token purchasable.
