I'm guessing the museum will still eventually be updated? It's been a few years, just wondering if the project got cancelled or not.

On another note, I bought the Deren mansion estate recently. Must say that I like it much more than the Darkovia one. Even though the Deren estate didn't provide anything more useful than the Darkovia one, it is more visually appealing.

You should be getting more resources from the Deren Estate.

You will be getting more Z-Token interest added to the value of your Estate each week.

@*Annihilator*: It's in the shop you access from your estate.

How do we know it's not another unreleased building (like Animal Barn)?

maybe it's just a little joke, considering that it looks like the museum. does the animal barn look different from other buildings?

The Void Nightbanes have been around for years, but the SCP-055 is a nice find.

Secret Project 55 ? It may or may not have anything to do with the museum.

I wouldn't be surprised if its a Red herring altogether.

yeah, the nightbanes i just found out on my own. i'm slow :P

SCP is this internet community thing: secure, contain, protect / Special Containment Procedures. i'd rather not link it since it may be too mature or something.

Yes, it was it's own building. There is a comment about it in the first post.

edit: you can see the barn here, on Kal's character

oh cool, thanks! yeah, animal barn seems closer to something that's unreleased (probably for food resources, but maybe too morbid), whereas SCP-055 takes from the museum directly. i'm almost certain that it's just a joke that just quickly recycled the art for the museum.

Oh man, this brings memories of so many wasted tokens. I must of spent like 100-200$ bucks on tokens. Too bad i was stupid and echanged them for gold, or did paid for stats with them. :( i used to have the biggest house but because houses were so pointless it seemed,(or so i thought) i sold the house and squandered all my tokens. If only there was some way to undo the mistakes of the past, huh.

Is the Deren Estate worth it for reasouce production? Does it have better potential for resource production than the forest or darkovia mansion estates?

^If you use your estate for the purpose of armies and participate in wars often then its definitely worth it because of its superior energy and food production.

The type of resource doesn't matter so much with a trade hut. Thou yes its overall production per hour is greater & it just happens to also be focused on food and energy at the cost of wood and stone.

Well you can only trade 25 of one resource for 24 of another with the trade hut but it makes a very minimal difference. At least you save some time with the Deren Estate.

At max trade hut lvl it is:

25 for 23
50 for 47
150 for 145
300 for 300

Is there a dummies guide on how to run an estate? I've always stayed away from them but now I have a hoard of tokens and nothing to buy with them, so I figured I might as well get an estate to help in wars.

You may want to check out the "guides" section when looking for guides.

Houses & Estates and their Functions Guide

That covers most info you need about what buildings do and various functions.

To make is simple you start with basic resources buildings(see above guide) upgrade them, get advanced resource buildings and start upgrade them. As wells start to venture into more advanced buildings such as the guard tower and trade hut. Then finally onto the likes of the storage buildings and mega world portal to store and spend excess resources.

edit: not sure how basic you need. You build buildings, gain resources, upgrade buildings, and check to see if they are invaded. That's the life cycles of an estate.

Buy the most expensive estate possible for maximum ROI.

The Deren Estate is best for wars right now thanks to high potential food and energy output, but it also happens to be the most expensive estate.

After dropping 20,000 tokens on that, you'll want to spend 1,500 total tokens on the Vegetable Garden, Mana Collector, Stone Pit, Woodcutter Shack, and Fishing Pond buildings, followed by 1,000 on a Corn Field, 500 on the Trade Hut, 1,000 on Storage Building, 500 on the Deren Mana Collector and Deren Wheat Field, and 2,000 more on Storage Building 2.

Spend 1,500 more tokens on a portal to whichever world you decide on (doesn't really matter) and an additional 4,500 for the Mega World Portal.

33,000 Z-Tokens.

From here, level all of your buildings to the highest possible level. The storage buildings go up to level 15 and the Trade Hut goes up to level 12. You may also consider getting a Guard Tower for 1,000 more tokens and some guards to fill it up. With enough guards and a high level guard tower you'll never be invaded. Invaded buildings stop resource production.

After you have everything up and running you'll end up with something like 70 food, 10 wood and stone, and 67 energy each hour. You will have storage capacity for about 7,000 units of each resource, and the level 12 Trade Hut will let you trade between each resource 300 at a time without cost. Trading stone and wood to food and energy is very helpful during wars. At this point, all you really need to do is check every so often for invaded buildings. No big deal.

Having every guard slot filled by a maximum-efficiency guard and a high-level Guard Tower does not grant immunity from invasion, that's something the Captain has stated time and again. It reduces the likelihood by a great amount, but the actual numbers and mechanics behind this are not privy to us.

For as long as the estate system has been in the game, I have had an estate full of high level buildings. I hadn't ever experienced a single invasion of any of my buildings during the course of all those years until a few days ago when I took down my guard tower. I have dealt with three or four invasions since then.

What I said is accurate. I know from experience.

EDIT: I'm not necessarily saying that the probability of being invaded is zero, but if the chances are so low that it didn't happen even once in all of that time, it may as well be.

There should be something more to estates other than just sending armies. Resources get filled up long before another war takes place and it would be good if we had a way to use them.

Just a quick note:
There's currently no 'Top Estate List' for the Deren Mansion estate...

On another note, can someone remind me how many years it has been since the museum came out and we were told 'features were coming soon?' (an actual question, not being rude)
