Hmm, the colors are now better, but it could much better if you reduce the red color.

Example:

quote:

Location: Engineering Deck -> Gravlax -> Warp Crystals!
Average Exp/hour (Low, Medium, High): High/Medium (it depends on the monsters you get)
Average Gold/hour (Low, Medium, High: Medium
Notes: Explore one world, find the crystal, then just search that world over and over. You can encounter 4 monsters: Nechron Scoutship (the worst encounter: high HP and low rewards), Nechron Dicero, Nechron Protean and Nechron Exo. They are all weak to light (all 130%), so you don't have to switch equipment all the time. NP and NE can be a bit hard in the early 30's, but you get a full heal every time and you only fight one monster at a time.

Thanks to Technomancer

^ I agree with necrolich, just add a short summary of good/bad points. Something like:

Battle Button:
+ Full Heal after every battle.
+ Fast: no clicking/custscenes.
+ ...
- Enemies are random.
- ...

There would be no need to include exp/gold, because that's already covered. But I'd suggest using this, instead of copying our notes. It keeps it a bit more organized. :P
Maybe you should mention that in the template as well?

And @MS: in your example, you linked my profile wrong. I'm not Necrolich. :D

@techno
like that?
quote:

RA
good
monster at your LVL
less bored because of the fact there are more sort of monsters
good EXP and gold
no cutcenes
slow heal after each fight
bad
need to change of equipment for each diferent sort of monsters

^ Yes, but a bit more organised. :P

I was thinking of something like this:

Location: Battle Button
Average Exp/hour (Low, Medium, High):
Average Gold/hour (Low, Medium, High):
Pro/contra:
Pro:
+
+
Contra:
-
-
Notes:

This way, you don't have a block of text under 'notes' so it can be used only for additional info on equipment/strategy/... . Note: this is just an example, keep that in mind. :P

It isn't just me who's building this thread, it's a joint effort. All thoughts and feelings in making the posts easier are definatly welcomed. I'll have a look at this properly tomorrow evening and decide what to do - I need to sleep now, and have college all day tomorrow. G'night all :)

How to get there: Engineering Deck -> Gravlax -> Warp Crystals! -> Shattered World 3
Average exp: High (medium on the Scout ships)
Average gold: High (medium on the Scout ships)
Pro's:
- This works great at higher levels, as the enemies will be scaled.
- The scaled enemies give greater exp/gold rewards.
- Full heal after every fight.
Con's:
- Long cutscene to get there.
- The monster's can be very strong at higher levels.
Thanks to Lord Athor!

You might want to remove the - Long cutscene to get there because it's not necessary to put it there. :p

More than a Game

I'd keep it there. Long cutscenes without a skip button means that it'll take longer time to fight a monster. No, or short, cutscenes are the best quests to farm with. For example, the RA button. All you've gotta do is click your mouse once, and ta-daa, a monster's there for you to slay. In the quests, you've got to view through a minute or two of cutscenes, which is enough time to take down one monster.

I think, it's just me - misunderstanding!
I just click the Search Shattered World 3, and repeat it until I get the Crystal!
And I still click the Search Shattered World 3, repeat it!
Don't click the others and donīt use any pet/guest to make the farming spot shorter and faster!

forgot to say that my farm spot is easier for INT builds
and you get a full heal after the fight you just need to re-click on zorboz

necrolich - I've edited your farming spots :)

As for strategy - With most farming spots, there isn't a dedicated strategy needed, because you farm there, it isn't a one-off fight. Farming is usually for easy-type monsters that give good rewards.

You need a good light equipment and energy defence
and if you can use plasma canon (tech)

edit
quote:

How to get there: Engineering -> Zorboz
Average exp: Medium
Average exp: Medium
Pro's:
- It's an easy fight, doesn't take too long to complete.
- You can get Zorboz as a guest after the fight.
- Heal after each fight - you just need to click back on Zorboz.
Con's:
- Easier with an INT build (A build that focuses on the Intellect skill such as a Mage, or "Technician").
Thanks to necrolich66!

at lvl 51 the reward change
XP 775
gold 250
seems betther than crystals wich is +- the same but with some 160+ XP monsters
so i think zorboz at 51+ is the best

For high levels

quote:

High Level Farming Spots (Level 40-55)

How to get there: Sick Bay -> Captain Daian -> Mission 3
Average exp: High
Average gold: High
Pro's:
- You get 2 health and mana potions for completing the mission.
Con's:
- No full heal in between fights. You have to go back to the first screen to heal.
- These monsters are usually much stronger than you, so the fights are much harder.

The part in bold is an error - it should be 3 health and mana potions.

who else think that at 51 zorboz is betther than warp crystal?
i think so
no cutscene
quick for INT based builds(star knight-uniforce)
a bit less but fast too for others
full heal after each fight

the talking can be quite annoying, and its only good for people with High Int, so it has alot of cons, but i still think its better than warp crystals

The Battle Monsters button imho is the best way to farm. You heal after every battle, the monsters are to scale and you get a strong monster to fight once in awhile as an exp boost. But Im only lvl 35.

At high levels, Zorboz is great, agreed. The talking does indeed get quite boring, but its great nonetheless. What I don't like about WarpCrystals is the Nechron Scoutship that comes from time to time. >.< Only 200 or so XP

I agree with MonsterMike, Battle Monsters is a good farming spot. Heal after every battle with the chance to fight highly rewarding monsters. The only downside is, occasionly it's one that doesn't give as good exp.
