Watched Chapter 1 A harmonic wind soaked the ancient trees, voiding the twigs onto the ground, as well as the golden-brown leaves which soon followed it. Above was the serene light-blue sky full with a blanket of white fluffy clouds washed over the horizon which was peeking in between the trees. I could still remember smelling the herbaceous breeze the grass let out. I lay on the grass; golden-brown leaves descending on my pale face, the sun capturing the corner of me, and a strand of my chestnut brown hair covering my hazel eye. I could feel the fresh air schlepping over the grass, birds landed on the grass beside me, some soared in the air, while singing melancholic, and jetting tree to tree. I stretched a smile on my face, I loved the atmosphere, it was beautiful. Beginning to put my hands behind my head, I stared at the clouds and day-dreamed meanwhile preparing to close my eyes, and just relax. It was in the middle of autumn, I was in the park, because I couldn't stand my cousins from Miami bragging about their stupid rich lives. My cousin brothers were two years younger than me, and I didn't have the slightest clue what they were saying, because of their accents. I bet they're talking to my sister now, bragging about their lives yet again. Wait... Am I day-dreaming about them? I couldn't believe it, I cut my eyes and tried to get them out of my head, I felt a bit silly. Even though today was a very stressing day because of them, this place began making me forget about everything. Well, everything apart from my cousins. I could still remember dashing out of home quickly, so that my cousin brothers couldn't find where I was. It all started at home when I had a cup of cool relaxing apple juice, with my extra tradition, a cherry on the top to finish it. I was in the living room, watching T.V, my favorite program was on, so I didn't want to get disturbed. My cousins came into the same room as me; it was predictable what they were going to say. "Are you still watching that program?" he asked, lowering down his head and looked a bit closer. "Oh look, he is!" he giggled, whilst snatching the T.V remote of me. "Such a baby program, a 3 year old baby watches this program." I just wanted to throw a tantrum, but I knew it wasn't the most cleaver thing to do. "I don't care." I growled, while storming out of the living room. "Where are you going?" he questioned, it was obvious he was going to bother me where I was heading off to. I stopped, and turned my head back. "Anywhere as long as I'm not close to you!" I answered violently, banging the door when I stormed out. I couldn't stand them still in my head. I grabbed the grass tightly; grabbing the grass came naturally just thinking about them. They really get on your nerves; I wish I could just-- There was sudden thud coming nearby me. Despite my dulled senses and my weary brain, my ears were still working. However, I thought it was nothing and so I ignored it. The thud mysteriously got louder. I still ignored it; however it was rather weird, was this thud trying to get me attention? Why would someone do something this ridiculous, unless they were my cousins? I sighed, I knew it was them. There was someone whispering my name, coming afar from a tree. I shot up straight, my eyes opening instantly; I was staring around exasperated, I particularly glared the tree it came from. Was it my cousins, how did they find me, unless was it someone else? As I began to stroll towards the tree, my senses immediately tensed, my eyes sharpened, and my heart began to race. Whatever had broken the peace annoyed and even scared me. I gulped while calling my cousins names. There was no answer. I took my first step or two, there was a sudden snap. I tripped, dropping on the ground like a chainsaw hitting a tree. I shrieked and stumbled back. Looking at what had scared me, I found out it was just a damn stick. I figured that it could come in handy, so I lifted the stick and grabbed it tightly. I gulped once again; I knew I had to face my fears. The cold wind bit me, giving me goosebumps. I dawdled towards the tree; surprisingly it was the only first tree that didn't have any leaves on. Grasping my stick in my palm; I was beginning to near the tree it came from. When I was at the very last step, I held my stick as tightly as possible, I smacked the tree with force; and turned immediately looking at what was before me. I was gaping in shock, it couldn't be possible. I looked all around the tree, it was nothing. There was nobody there, then how was this possible, was my mind going insane? I looked around again, and could just hear a snigger coming from those perpetual trees in the distance... Comments
