I think the profile should give the players a chance to tell a little about themselves.

You mean something like an "About Me" section? If so, I second the motion.

Hm... the Forum Coding team would have to work out this, but it shouldn't be hard. I think it shouldn't exactly be titled something like "Description" but something like above, something the user can write about themselves. If this is so, then I think it would be quite a great idea! A bit of backround on other members would be great. Good idea!

 A somewhat curtailed About Me section does exist, where you can explain how you found AE games, as well as sharing your birthday, age, and instant messenger screen name. However, Artix Entertainment tries to protect the personal information of its players to as great a degree as possible. The Forum Rules on User Interaction further explain the rules pertaining to personal user information. While it is unfortunate that this is the case, it is possible members would seek to take advantage of any information shared in an About Me section.

Please excuse me if I'm not allowed to post, but is it possible for you just figure out a way to put 'safe guards' or something such as blocking phone numbers, addresses, etc, etc, etc?

 Something as personal as a phone number or address shouldn't be publicly shown on the forums. If you really want to get to know somebody, it should be done through means such as AOL Instant Messenger or such as MSN Messenger. If anyone were to be able to know someone's phone number or street address would be giving out an alarming amount of personal information. Personal information people of the forums may not want others to know.

As for "safe guards". That is handled through the phone/e-mail companies, not AE. If you have questions/suggestions, please make your own thread. Thanks!
