Wow, so happy that I've finally been approved. ^_^
Every once in a while I'll post some samples of my poetry so... Here goes nothing, right?
Oh, before I forget again, comments go here.

Upon The Altar
(Written for Poetic Melody's friend):

I lay my hands upon the altar
My eyes shed a thousand memories
Rain of tears stain the coffin
Why did this happen?

I lay my head upon the altar
Silent prayer for departed souls
Sacrifice for mistakes of the Fates
So young, so beautiful

I lay my blood upon the altar
Revitalize and renew
Nothing matters after this
Will I have regrets?

I lay my soul upon the altar
Judgement for the departed
I take payment for her passing
Tears as I make the choice

I lay myself upon the altar
Remove the innocent and young
I pay for myself, and await the river
I watch her walk away
Blinding light then eternal shadow.

Mirrors:

Pretending, neverending
Release yourself, let your soul sing
Don't blind yourself with the lies of others
Look in the mirror, do your own thing

Influence and deterrents
They take away your common sense
Why change yourself for them?
Look in the mirror, don't copy their decadence

Other side, nowhere to hide
Through the mirror you can see your inside
Trust your inner strength
Look in the mirror, only with yourself can you confide

Blood:

Passion burn
A face that's stern
Feel my wrath
My blood, my anger

Fearful cries
Constant lies
In return
My blood, my sorrow

Define normal
This, or that?
Only one thing is pure
Our blood, our emotions

Blade of fire
Heart of ice
Connect and it rains
My blood, my end

Fire:

Pillar of flame descend upon me
I can't resist its loving embrace
Meld into the fire from whence I came
I retreat back to the very beginning

Flickering fire upon my back
Caressing me, pulling me closer
I give in to my baser instincts
Within the fire, my only fire

I feel a tender kiss upon my lips
Searing pain followed by a coolness
A coolness that I can't describe
Retreat even further into myself

The tender embrace becomes a storm
I try to pull away, which draws me closer
My passion always becomes my undoing
My submission, my extinction, extinguished

Valentine's Day: A Dagger Through My Heart
(Collab between Poetic Melody and I)
My writing is in italics, her's is normal.

Thought I knew her
I guess I was wrong
Our very first kiss
Our favorite song
Lost with my memories,
United with tears.
The smile I once loved,
Now fills me with fright.

You left me, you killed me,
You destroyed every last hope.
Hope of what might've been.
Romeo, spurned by a lost love
Turns the dagger into his own heart
Juliet awakens, careless, loveless
She finds another, oblivous to loss
Roses and blood, love and death.

Living in darkness and dressing in black,
I now have nothing. Nothing at all.
You kissed me, you loved me.
You drank my blood.
Yet, it wasn't enough
You got what you wanted, and left
Not knowing what I felt
My longing for understanding, crushed
And now I wait for the end

The end from this pain, this torture,
This trap you leave me in.
I pray to heavens above,
To take me to them,
To end this lasting hell

Forget:

You think you're funny
I honestly don't care
I try to forget your face
I find myself unable to

Image burned into my mind
I can't forget my mistakes
I find myself only wishing
Nepenthe for lost souls

On a path with no goal, no end
No end to that which pains me
Memory of a curse so vile
Shining light; end of the tunnel

Touching a cool black stone
I realize what I must do
I reach into my pocket and
Pull out a rose for my dead memory

Elementals:

Flame, burning scream
Fiery wrath
Step through all
None can stop his path

Water, the soother
Healing, cooling
Mediator of fate
River of tears

Earth, stubborn home
Her wrath, her love
Never ending beauty
Caress of a mother

Air, fluidity
No boundaries to it
It reigns over all of us
Gentle touch, angry whip

Elemental fate
Return to that which made you
Four gods of our destiny
Four gods of our destruction

The Death Of Intellect:

Herein lie Intellect, known to few, and friend to less
Shed not a tear for him, for in life he was happy
Instead. mourn for his absence, which be catastrophic

Herein lie intellect, mediator of Desire and Will
For without him, worlds fall into Chaos and Disrepair
Nobody can truly appreciate Peace until lost

Herein lie Intellect, the father of many children
Reason, Morality, and Logic, to name a few
Left unchecked, they killed Artistry and Faith

Herein lie Intellect, husband of Knowledge
In grief, she had taken her own life
Now nothing works, and Society is unbound

Herein lie Intellect, brother of Rage and War
Without a leash to hold the Twins back
Many are lost within Flames and Smoke

Herein lie Intellect, who truly not be dead
He is merely napping, but for a long while
Rejoice! for he may re-emerge from sleep

When you said goodbye
I could hide hurt
I've done it before

On with my life
Some parties and concerts
Our song played again
I smiled and left

I can't be forgiven
And I'll never ask
Missing you my friend
I write and smile
