[size=2][color=#3333FF]As the clan has gotten bigger and bigger (and better and better), government formed inside the Glacius shard (with the help of the disappearing lady, KarenC), The Deepfrost Citadel. The High Command looks over the whole clan in helping organize events, threads, and any activity within Glacius. Everyone in Glacius is treated with equal respect and the experienced leaders teach the younger ones life lessons.

The official government of the Glacius clan, the GHC consists of 5 ranks that help to make the Glacian community the best that it can be. Many of our Command members have past leadership experience on this forum before. This is also a democratic system, so we will be holding elections to make changes in the leadership when it is needed.[/color][/size]

[size=2][color=#3333FF]The current GHC consists of a leader and four High Commanders. It is their responsibility to report trouble makers, conduct and participate in operations in events, guide the Glacius community in whole-clan decisions and to act as FAQers for new members. 

[b]Leader[/b]

[b]Cross-Clan Communications[/b] 
This spot is mainly for communicating with other clans and their ambassadors and involves high levels of activity in our own and other clan's threads. It involves updating our clan on the activity of other clans, and letting other clans know of activity within Glacius. This person is expected to run the cross-clan communication thread on our forum, and to be the ambassador to other clans, and should also lead discussions on cross-clan issues such as potential alliances and non-aggression pacts. The CCC may also appoint ambassadors at his or her discretion.

[b]Recruitment and retention of clan members[/b] 
This person is expected to run the clan's ideas thread, and must also play a key-role in increasing clan identity in the forums and outside the forums.  They will identify and support ideas aimed at recruiting and retaining clan members. Retaining clan members includes, but is not limited to coming up with fun and interesting ideas aimed at increasing the enjoyment clan members get on our threads. There also may be some involvement in updating the clan on IRC and the Glacius Private Forums, though this can be negotiated or delegated by the R&R GHC member.

[b]Art[/b] 
This person is expected to be at the forefront of clan art. They should be involved in the creation of clan artwork such as sigs, avatars and clan banners, will run any clan art-work competitions and potentially be involved in promoting (with the R&R member) the clan through tailor-made promotional work (on, for example, youtube).

[b]War General[/b] 
This person is responsible for the ops thread during times of war and clan mobilisations, and should also maintain the clan roster.  This GHC member is responsible for co-ordination of war efforts, and should also part-input into alliance and non-aggression pact discussion.

[size=2][color=#3333FF]As GHC members have recently been elected, the only outstanding vacancy is for clan head.  If sufficient clan members feel that this position needs to be filled, an election will be triggered.

Update: A new clan leader has been elected (brianspenceni) and an election to fill his vacated cross-clan communication GHC post (along with the new recruitment and retention GHC post) is underway as of 20th July 2009.

Update: GHC elections to fill CCC and R&R were completed on 26th July, with Chugg and ArchMagus Baron filling these vacancies.  Therefore the clan's high council has a full complement of staff.[/color][/size]
