In the toolbar keys above the typing space, push the button that says "color". Then, choose a color that you want. The following should pop up where you were last typing:
[color=#00FF66][/color]
Where the number after the "#" symbol denotes the color you chose using the HEX representation. To color your message, just place the text you want colored in between the [color=#HEX NUMBER HERE] tags, like so:
[color=#FF0000]This text is colored.[/color]
Produces:
This text is colored.
