Hmm... I'm waiting on Silv, you, and Clyde. Or just whoever happens to post first depending on the content of said post.

There's a mistake in my most recent post. Illian actually pulls his blades left, not right.
Kell, if I don't see you on IRC before you read this, do I have permission to edit that bit?
EDIT: Alex, how many arrows do you have?

That's fine.

Posted.

I was distracted by a new Burn Notice, Royal Pains, and the new Futurama.

Sorry. :P

@Silver Lion: I did not mention your knife because I really didn't want to bunny it and say it either deflected off the ice wall or got stuck in it. Basically, I wanted to leave it to you.

One hundred. Which is actually a rather reasonable number, since I know people who carry around upwards of two hundred fifty.

Now, two arrows at Cyros, three randomly shot, and two at Anfur, leaving Simonaque with ninety-three arrows remaining, one of which she has no chance of getting back since Anfur crushed it.

EDIT: Too bad my family doesn't have satellite, or I'd most definitely have been watching Burn Notice as well. *Sighs* There's always Hulu though!

And I'll be posting tomorrow, hopefully after Silv posts his, since Simonaque's waiting on his answer.

Excuse me, but 100 arrows isn't a reasonable number to be carrying into a combat situation without some form of small cart accompanying you or magical mummery involved.

First, a quiver, depending on the style of arrow, will carry between 6 and 20 arrows, with 20 being the upper limit. So you'd have to carry 5 quivers, which are bulky, of 20 arrows each, in order to have 100 arrows at your disposal. The individual weight of each arrow might be small, but when you multiply that by 100, you end up with a fairly significant load. More than the weight, you have to contend with the bulk of the quivers, and you're essentially carting around something like a backpack with textbooks in them. This is not conducive to acrobatics, not least when considering you don't want the arrows to fly out of the quivers.

To get an idea of how big a quiver is, have a look at this: http://www.leatherbywc.com/HuntersQuiver.jpg
You might think that's big, but the average English war arrow is between two and two-and-a-half feet, as they were made to be half the height of the archer shooting them. You'd have to be using smaller arrows, you'd STILL have to cart around 5 quivers of about that size.

Now, if you've got an enchanted quiver, that's somewhat different. However, it's worth noting you don't NEED 100 arrows for this. I played a dedicated archer in the 2007 EC, and she had 30 arrows. I didn't even get 1/3 of the way through my arsenal.

This is all purely advice: as a contestant, I can't do anything more than this, so you can take it or leave it, as you wish.

/yawn Good morning, everyone! :D

I see Alex's waiting on a post from me. I'll go freshen up and then start working on something.

Clyde, if you need to collab, then feel free to do so. You could have PMed me about that dagger. :p I'll see what I can do.

@TD: Point taken. twenty-four sound reasonable to you? That'd be four sets of six... Makes me think of an archery tourney my brothers and I were in a few days ago...

@Silv: Yes, I am, but no rush.

superjars and I collabed a post last night this morning, so that's been up for a while. Illian's been forced to break out another of his spells... might he need to use all of his tricks on Cassivo? Stay tuned and find out!

24 is eminently reasonable, though you might want to go with 3 sets of 8 rather than 4 of 6: again, quivers are bulky, the fewer quivers you have, the better, overall.

The black-haired girl smiled a bit as the wind assassin turned his attention to another attacker. Good grief, who taught you how to fight? Never turn your back on an opponent who's not thoroughly killed! She thought, releasing the second arrow, which flew toward the white robbed man. She slipped her bow back into the quiver and grabbed the spike's rusty sides, lowering herself down as far as she could before jumping down to the ground.

That's shot at me, right Alexandria?

:P I do not speak in reference to arrows per quiver, TD. I happen to compete in archery and am referring to the number of arrows commonly carried at archery tournaments. Six arrows per person, five to shoot each round, and a sixth in case someone Robin Hoods. Hence, four and six.

Clyde and I are working on a diabolical collab post. Maybe something within the hour if we can get all of our ideas down right ;D

Edit - Just waiting for Alex to be okay with a move ;P

*Blinks and grins slightly* Collab post from enemies? Oooooooooh! Fun! Can't wait for it!
Then again, it also has me questioning things, such as "what the heck are you two planning?" And also: "Can a shattered arrow be fixed?"
