While active, all your opponent's attacks will damage your MP instead of your HP or SP. However, the damage is multiplied by the listed value (the shield's Efficiency).
The shield can only prevent a certain amount of damage - this is its Power. Once the shield runs out of Power, the status ends.
If you take more damage than the shield's remaining Power, then the "overflow" damage is instead inflicted to your HP, as Harm damage.
If you would take more MP damage than you have MP remaining, then the damage is instead inflicted to your HP as Harm damage, without inflicting any damage to your MP. Then, the status ends.
Optionally, the shield may only redirect damage from specific elements. If it does, then the description ends with " Activates when struck by ___, ___, or ___.". If the description does not mention any, then the shield applies to all elements.
Optionally, the shield may only last for several rounds. If it does, then the description ends with " Ends in «X» turns.". If the description does not mention this, then the shield lasts until it runs out of power.
