sym · bi · o · sis A team tournament composed by TheShadowed1 –noun, plural 1. the living together of two dissimilar organisms. 2. a relationship between two people in which each person is dependent upon and receives reinforcement from the other. Welcome to the Gallery's most ambitious, extensive, and collaborative project in its history! The aim is to show that maybe not every one of us is the best - but collaboratively we have the potential to become so. What are you waiting for? Join the fun and bring your friends! ____________________R u l e s____________________ As always, follow the universal, gallery, and battle area rules. Sadly, this will be strictly a tag/signature endeavor due to compatibility limitations. The good news is there will be no themes and no style restrictions. If it fits within a 150,000 square pixel canvas, it is an acceptable entry. Winners will be determined by a majority vote by the forum's members and judge votes. To ensure impartiality on the side of the judges, the panel of judges will not be part of these forums and will be unaware of members in each team. This ensures that the judges will judge based on what they see instead of who they know. Each round will be open for around two weeks for entries followed by three days of voting. The brackets below show the setup of the tournament, which will be either 3 or 6 rounds depending on the number of entrants. To enter: Simply post. We don't need you name or example of work, level or style. It's as simple as that. Everyone is welcome to participate. The first twelve entrants will be guaranteed in, and we can also proceed if twenty-four apply, but no more, no less. If there is a large rush of people wishing to compete, then we will make adjustments accordingly. After either number is met, the teams will be assembled randomly. Each team will work collaboratively on and enter one piece. If you are confused on how to collaborate on a work, here is a quote from the Collaboration Nation thread: quote:
A quick explanation on collaboration types: -A half and half collaboration is when one artist starts the piece, works on it until that have reached a "half-way" mark, and then hands it off to another person to finish. -A piece by piece is much like a half and half collaboration, but it is not finished in just two turns. The work is done little by little, the piece being passed back and forth, or between many people, until it is finished. This is one of the only ways to do a collaboration between three or more people. Of course these are only two ways of doing it and you may do as you wish. ____________________B r a c k e t s____________________ ____________________P r i z e s____________________ You will course be awarded the ever-excellent bragging rights, but there's something even better. The winning team will get an exclusive resource pack with contributions from some of our most famous artists! (including myself, Khelios, Jokester, Jecht Dracopyre, _Depression, and The One To Rule)
