First of all , i have already contacted the head moderator back in early june , but i DID not receive any response , nor did i see any sort of a change , on the contract ; i have seen less action being taken :

The Mechquest section , the Question & Answer's section to be more precise seems to be .... understaffed , the section has 4 forum staff members :

  • Archknights : Archie , Dudu Master and Terosin .
  • Head of the section , Adminstator : Sir Gnome .

Now first of all , i am not complaining about their work , as a matter of fact i consider their work to be incredibly important to the section . And i hope it could be done more .

Let me also mention , i have been active (And i mean ACTIVE) on the section since April 09 (That is nearly a year and a half) , and i contribute there as much as i can within my time .

The section , from what i see , lack supervisors ; from the 3 AK's , only Terosin is seen on daily basis ; Dudu master is also involved in the guide section which i consider to be a heavy job , and Archie , with all respect to him , has not appeared since july of 09 (I have contacted the Moderator back then because we had 0 AK around , the Moderator responded that the 2 active AK's *Including Archie* were on Vacation) and made some very very rare appearance's .

Sir Gnome is an Administrator of the forums , and head of many sections , so not seeing him around would not be a problem .

The section is not stacked , it is not full , but when compared our sister Q&A , Dragonfable , they have 8 AK's including the Moderator of the section , TLH .

When compared to the AQW Q&A , they have 8 AK's as well .

The MQ Q&A AK's have an essential job that cannot be missed , Terosin has manged to do a great job holding the forum together , but i can see the understaff effect by the day .

I am not asking for many new AK's , as the section doesn't need . But one or two more AK's can do a great job alongside Terosin .

I am not talking here out of 0 knowledge or just what i hear , i practically live in this section , so i know what goes on , and i know that it need few more AK's .

On a final note , i know how busy the AK's and mods are , and they have many other thing in life than the section , i understand and respect that . But the section needs some attention as well .

With that said , i wish to say that i have 0 disrespect to the AK's of our great section , they have done a great job each in his or her time .

I hope that i did not waste any time by trying to post this here , nor do i hope that i have stepped from the line that separate Members with Forum staff .

With all respect to the forum staff ,

    Always Loyal to AE

I apologise for not having replied to your PM, however I did certainly read it and look in to what you brought up; please correct me if I'm wrong, but the main concern you seem to be tabling is that the MQ Q&A section appears understaffed in numbers compared to the other game Q&A sections. While it is certainly true that we have less AKs in the Q&A section, I do not feel the board is in need of more moderation; perhaps some answered threads pass un-locked, but this certainly doesn't cause great issues (and indeed some Q&A boards do not insist on locking all answered threads), and while some threads may go unanswered, that isn't really the job of an ArchKnight.

The ArchKnights exist to assist in the moderation of specific boards, to help ensure that they run smoothly and to stop rule-breaking behaviour. If you think that there is excessive rule-breaking going on in the MQ Q&A board, then if you could give me examples, then I would certainly look in to getting more help in the board, but if you are only comparing numbers with other boards rather than talking about what is happening in the board specifically, then I don't really feel that that would be an issue that would require bringing in more people.

I understand your point Sir Gnome , and what i am trying to point out is not a comparison between the MQ Q&A AK numbers , and the other Q&A , clearly because i left the AQ Q&A , which runs in a total of 4 forum staff , and AQ is the oldest AE game and so far i can see the forum is doing just fine .

My problem is , the section grows by the minute , and thus one AK for a Q&A section is in my personal opinion not going to manage in the future . My job on the section is to provide help with the AK's supervising what i do , i get that . But again , the section is not a Guide section , and thus needs all help that could be provided (Example the amount of AK's assigned in the AQW section over a short period) , from what i have seen , we are not as big as the AQW Q&A , but our job is not any smaller .

This suggestion is only my opinion of the assistance that could be provided , it is not a must as i can see it is manageable , but for future problems so to speak .

I just hope my opinion has been past , and well be taken in consideration at a certain point in a certain time .

    Dragonfable Guidesreally needs some people.

One guide has been waiting since 8/5/2010. I'd be happy to take up the job because I really feel faster approval is needed.

@Robofire2: If it has been more than three days, which it almost always is, you are allowed to PM an ArchKnight once. Both times I've done this, they got it approved within 24 hours.

Robofire : No offense , but you do realize that MQ Q&A is the topic in this thread ?

Anyway , sir gnome , if you check the MQ forums in general , you will see a lack of active-active AK's , i wouldn't name as i am only involved in the GD section , and the Pedia from time to time . I just feel that some AK's are assigned to fill empty spots .

Things like the number of AKs needed for any given board are frequently reviewed, and if there comes a time in the future at which the board is in need of more AKs, then more will be assigned. If all your concerns are about future problems though, then no action is needed for the moment.

To the above post; again, these things are reviewed periodically. If you feel that a lack of AKs is causing a problem in rule-breaking going unnoticed or similar, then that might be grounds for upping the numbers, but if that is not the case, then surely we don't need more.
