For some weapons, you might want to make something like runes or orbs disappear, so I decided to make this tutorial. 1) Make the object that you want. 2) Convert it into a movie clip symbol. 3) Now, insert a keyframe and apply brightness to it. Increase the brightness by a small amount, say 6. 4) Now, keep inserting keyframes and increase the brightness by 6 for EVERY FRAME until you get the desired whiteness. 5) Now, convert THAT into a symbol and the whole white item will be a symbol. 6) Apply Alpha to it. 7) In the next keyframe, increase the alpha by say, 10? 8) Keep increasing it for EVERY FRAME until the symbol disappears. 9) Now, preview your .swf and you've got your disappearing rune/orb. FAQ:- 1) Where do I apply Alpha and Brightness D:? When you create a symbol, you can apply Alpha and Brightness under the third menu 'Color Effect' in the Properties of the movie clip. 2) When you mean for EVERY FRAME, does the change have to be uniform? Yes, or else the animation will look choppy and bad. Uniform changes will be smooth and nice to look at ;D 3) I want to make it disappear and then reappear the same way, how do I do that? After the animation has been completed and the symbol has disappeared, copy the frames in reverse order and paste them. Ta-dah, you'll get your reappearance and disappearance animation. NOTE:- The animation would be ideal for changes above 5 in Brightness and 10 in Alpha at 15 FPS.
