Welcome to the STO! Were going to try to keep this one open and active this time. So lets get started!
The Aim and Purpose
Getting into digital art can be hard as it's not like pen and paper where everything is in the hand. There are tools, often obscure buttons and countless numbers of odd terms and resources. So I guess the purpose of this STO is to inform, educate and provide a gateway for people into this hobby or potential career of art, to help people improve and the help spread the knowledge. We are a community here! It's not a competition (unless you're in the battle board xP), so let's all help each other improve!
"Lessons" so to speak are of course informal (you don't have to call your teacher sir or ma'am, and there are certainly no beatings xP). Some people need a full on mentor to guide them step by step through things, while others just need a simple point of reference to help with very specific things. All can be catered for :-)

Speciality: Anything you are especially talented at. For example animation, structure, anime style et cetera

The server time is eastern standard time, if they google it, I'm sure they can work out their time.
Time Avaliable: In your chosen time zone. Try to at least include a rough guesstimate :-)
Number of Students: How many can you take. If you are unsure, start low and work up :-P
Your Work: It's always nice to show people what you have done. Either link to your gallery or 2 or 3 works or tutorials you have made.

Teacher - Who do you want to teach you? IMPORTANT NOTE: If anything resembling "You choose for me", "Anyone who has space" or "Anyone who teaches [Program]" is written, your application will be instantly rejected. Please select a teacher by name
Looking to learn - Be as specific as you feel you need to be. Just bear in mind that some teachers simply don't have the time to teach you how to use every feature. My advice: start with one topic and you will find others start to bleed in. When you are done with one topic, you can begin another.

IMPORTANT NOTES TO ALL
- If anyone knows an inactive teacher, or a student who is either inactive or finished etc, please me with the details and i'll follow it up
- Teachers are people too, and they do this in their free time. I'm not sure about iChar, but i'm certainly not paying them. If they are not shown the respect they deserve, they do not have to teach. me if you are having trouble.
- Students, if you believe a teacher is inept, inflammatory or the like, this too is unacceptable. me if you are having any trouble and I will follow it up forthwith.
- All forum rules apply! Summary of the rules | Comprehensive rules. They were updated 07-10-2010 (MM-DD-YYYY). If you are unsure, please read them.
- If a teacher is full, denoted with a FULL next to their name, you may still add them on your list of desired teachers. HOWEVER >> It is at their discresition completely if they choose to take another student. Please include at least one choice of a teacher who is not full. Failure to do so will result in an ignored application
- A student may only have one teacher unless the subjects are completely different (Photoshop and lyricism for example). If you apply for a second teacher, even in these circumstances, others without a teacher will get priority.
- When you are accepted by either myself or an acting Senior Management Member in my absence, you have two weeks to PM your teacher. Failure to do so will denote a lack of interest, and your place will be opened up to someone else. You may re-apply at a later date if this is the case.

All teachers and students must re-apply. If you are a teacher and you have students from the old thread who are still currently with you, tell me and they will be added too. If you are a student and your teacher has not re-applied, please include that in your application, I will chase them up xP
