What about... A Mod's name on forums to Yellow and Normal Players Black and the AK's will be Green. This will make the forums colorful especially if Beleen would know this, this forums will be flooded pink. Depending on what the AE would like, if it's debatable you decide or depends on what rank you are.

It would be easier to notice AK's and Mods. I really think this idea should be implemented into the Forums.

ArchKnights have this below their name:
Knights of Order have this symbol:
Squires of Order have this symbol:

At one point AE Staff had their own symbol, I believe it got lost in the forum crash.

Moderators and Admins do not have their own symbols so I guess it is hard to tell who is who. I can't say that in the future Mods and Admins will have their own forum symbols, but if there is ever any confusion you can check the AE Staff and Staff Assistants List.

Beep Beep! ArchKnight AQ / ED

I kind of like this idea, just one question though, why make us AK's have a green name? I understand that Moderators would be yellow to match that in AQW (if that's where you got the idea from).

@Digital X
Color Green is for relaxation, cause you are an AK you will feel relaxed about your name. ^^

Digital X: I would assume that the colours would be decided by mods.

Having said that, I kinda like this idea.

I also like this idea, and think it would make picking out Forum Staff much more easier. Although, the whole tags currently representing the ArchKnights, Moderators, AE Staff, SoO's and the likes might lose their value, or they could just stay there for additional guarantee that it is a member of the Staff, but a color name would be a great idea.

I like it. :)

Hmm... I feel colours would be weird, though it'd work.
Mainly I just feel that Moderators and AE Staff need their own Symbols like KoO/AK/SoO.

Clyde: Sometimes that List can go un-updated for a month, though that's generally the case.
Also, the "Game Staff (Active on Forums)" Section can be inaccurate.

This is quite a good idea. Would make it easier for everyone to know each members status, but I do too have a question:

What about members with special titles? like Friendly, helpful, constructive contest winners?
They still count as regular members, but with another title. Should they still have the same color as the members?

Not a bad idea, I thought Mod can change color, but having some color around is cool. I sometime feel confusing when some AK jump up to mod (well, since all forum members don't know about AK mod coding, how can we know if they just remove AK title a while for fun?)

I don't really find it confusing but I think it would be nice I mean its kinda hard not to see "ARCH KNIGHT" but the knights of order and squires of order's symbols are kinda small...

I'm not quite sure if this idea would be more practical than the image tags used currently. The thing with image tags is that they are pretty straight-forward: You look at them and you're aware of the user's position in the forums. If you use a color system to designate ranks, it might be hard for a newcomer to find out what each color represents, and considering the colors would be there to make identification easier, that's a challenge.

Even if the lack of a image tag creates some confusions to certain forum groups, Admins and Moderators (and AKs, when posting in the board they work on) have the "star of power", so identifying them shouldn't be as hard as it's being implied here. In the worst cases, you can also check the Forum Staff list Clyde provided which, while not updated 100%, contains the most important and crucial info updated.

You could suggest using colors along with image tags to avoid confusion, but that would destroy the reason colors would be used in first place: to make identification easier. While it's an interesting idea, I think it's simply more challenging than the system being used right now, and the only good effect would be a "prettier" forum.

I think it's worth a mention that any color-based system of identifying members of forum staff or staff assistants runs a high likelihood of creating difficulties for users with certain visual impairments such as color blindness, and this would have to be weighed very carefully when thinking about possible alternatives to the system in place if something was going to change.

So far I haven't seen anything that explains what is wrong with the current system or why it would need to be changed. Coloring a user's name to denote their status would be a lot of work for our forum coders and ultimately it only amounts to a minor aesthetic change when you consider that we already have the means to identify staff and staff assistants through the use of tags like the ArchKnight tag or the squirrel.

Why not keep our names blue? We will still remember the regular players because it takes alot of people a few days to get used to that. Besides, yellow, blue and green go together.
