After hanging around, I believe I want to see some change to help DF Board easier to use and more active.
First, about GD board, there's few tagged thread are useless, or really hard to put a right topic: =AK= All DF Holidays Discussion Thread
As I remember, since the thread appear, the holiday spirit went down because people really don't want to post in such thread
The reason that tagger thread have very wide range of topic, and if you drink wine, the more water in it, the worse the wine.
The thread has been there for 1 year...and it run too slowly and have no good effect.
I remember why AK made that thread, someone make 2 Mogloween thread and 1 Christmas thread -.- also Ak said: "No holiday suggestion, the staff will annoy"
Now this is unfair, people making duplicate thread is not the Holiday's fault, in fact simple merge this. Also, making Holiday too early can be considered as against the rule too.
Also we didn't suggestion, we only have some theories (because we will hoping for Trinkets, since DF released few trinkets just then) and we share your thought just like kids dreaming about Christmas presents, its' pretty unfair they they prevent all our hope for next holiday.
I think we simple can take down this thread and letting 1 holiday spirit thread gather the fun. In fact, outside of DF GD Board, other game's Boards have no Holiday thread and everything work fine.
Second, "DF Game Support" board really need a hand. As I know, this using old AQ forum format when it was made. However it's not working well at all. DF require a litter help with strategy on one special quest, monster because the basic game system is pretty the same. Meanwhile AQ system with builds, spell, armor and monster ability is pretty complex.
With the same reason, DF items comparing have very less effect.
Most of all, they are in the bottom of the Board, which very few players can help them.
So I have suggestions:
DragonFable Equipment Comparison: putting this in GD under AK power, simply update all new items from the release and allow players to discuss them outside of DN thread. This will allow players to discuss under a good topic, also allow forum member find them easily.
DragonFable Comparison Requests: same like advice and rating, this can be in Q&A, I believe this will work well!
DragonFable Comparison Posting: a nearly forgotten thread and really hard to find it and use when necessary. Put it in Guide thread (mention in 3rd idea)
DragonFable Strategy since most strategy for boss are the same, we can put it in Q&A. About Battle Strategy Guide, they will be put into Guide Thread (mention in 3rd idea)
Third, because of all above, I want to update the Guide section.
The guide should have 3 part:
Equipment Comparison Guide: contain armor and items
Battle Strategy Guide: all about strategy
Basic Guide: the walkthrough, special list...etc
(sorry, but i'm not good at coming up with good name)
Note that:
Good thing that in Encyclopedia there's small guide list items level and element. So they can stay there, but I notice in weapon section, the "best weapon for level..." or kinda, they are really big guides and really hard to build. But if you notice, the old DragonFable Comparison Posting work 90% same way, but smaller.
If we combine, turn them into small part (as I suggest, the best way is each Element have its own thread) and put in Equipment Comparison Guide. This way, each people can hand some guides, part of current bug guide which really hard to update right now.
