I've noticed that when a Archknight or Moderator muches/zaps a signature they don't give you your old link in a 'code format' . It'd be helpful if they
stared doing that, since forum users might wanna edit that signature to make it legal again. I've had some of my signatures zapped and it's a pain having
to do them all over again, and I bet other forumites can relate.

Thanks

Another way is to save the picture on your computer so you can edit it again, if needed. Like when someone munches/removes a signature.

I think this is a good idea. The codes that I use can be REALLY long, and whenever a Mod munches/zaps my sig, then I have to do it all over again, and it takes quite a while

Thing is, if the codes are included in the signature, the signature would actually be more disruptive, since it would probably become too long and stretch the page. Another problem would be that if the bad codes are given, there could be forumites that just repost his/her signature and go on their merry way. Then it'd become a chore to take them out again and PM'ing them explaining the rules for signatures...

There are image uploaders that save your pictures. They include Tinypic and Photobucket, though you do need an account for both of them. So if you upload your image to one of those sites and delete it from your computer, you should be able to retrieve and edit it (Print Screen could help here as well). A better option would be to save the picture to your computer, so you could re-edit it if needed.

Just to ad to what drakyloid said, users are responsible to back up their signature.
Best way is make a folder in your doc. for you to save the image so if its get eaten it will be easy to re size and such we also have the signature testing thread if its note that its ok to use then it will never get eaten unless you add something that were not included in the testing thread.

Also, another thing: Only Mods and up can munch sigs. AKs cannot do that whatsoever.

@Above: Oops.

But anyway Drakyloid has a good point. I never realized it would be disruptive if they started to do that. Shucks.. ><
