Do you guys?I mean think about it with the Azrael staff you can use a high lvl bludgeon and with deadly aim and Imperial NPC it might work.You have powerful primary and sidearm and both are boosted by bludgeon and deadly aim.

Discuss as you wish.

to risky imo
You'd be crushed by STR Mercs, Tech Mercs, Suport Mercs, 5 Focus BH's and STR BH's

Mages have imo only 2 ways now, eather Suport or Tank ( which works for me now about 90 in Dex/Tec and still a 5 focus build )

i use STR build in 2vs2 but in 1vs1 it dont work

Yes I think it could. Chaos1x used a semi-str build in alpha (56 str) and won almost every time. What I think would pwn 5 focus bh would be to malf them to make them use eshield, then follow up with gun( phisycal) and bludegon. It would be very deadly, those constant streams of gun+blud+asim.

I wouldnt use Azrael because the damage is only 30 and is a support staff. Personaly i think you would be better off with Cryomancer staff because its +5 str +5 dex +15 tech and 8 enhancements, so thats +13 str, good tech bonus, and 32 base damage

Best i can get my str to with 5 focus/staff is 45+37, and thats Cryomancer staff(+8), Skullfire blaster, Frost cannon, and Warbot(+8)

str mage with energy sword and malf would work maybe, but the problem is in defence - BH get block, mercs get hybrid, mages get... reroute? not really useful unless you wanna try a heal loop str mage?

It doesnt work very well, i tryed a high Malfunction with Frostbane and 100+ hp. Just doesnt do enough damage fast enough.

Yes the reason is mages dont have a passive suitable for str build and the only % damage skill is blockable and low % more hit.DA is only work when you got higher support other than that it will always deflect.

str mages do work... they work pretty good but you have to have a staff they dont work with swords cuz you cant use bludgen. str mercs were realy easy to beat as long as they didnt stun and i used assimaltion so they couldnt use berserk. 5focus builds r a lil tricky. str bh were kinda hard, and sup build r for uber noobs so.....yea..... but overall the build worked great

Define good? Do you mean 5 focus damage tank mage win %(around 85% for me) or caster mage %(10% at 32 LOL).

azreal is the worst ever staff for a str build, maybe a build that deals high hits, but never ever will it make the cut for a str build
(unless you wanna be defeated for 90% of all lv 30+ varium fights then be my guest)

Mage str builds are not good, they are better than some unexperienced begginner build that just scatters points everywhere, but it is not decent enough to be used in today's fights where win loss rate is the majority's goal and the competition is tough

 I'm a bounty hunter so I speak from experience. Str build mages are dangerous in battle, but completely vulnerable if they get blocked once or don't get first strike. It's best to have a balanced build.
