About time we posted that thing here.

Ladies and gentlemen, fighters to mages, I present you:

THE PAXIAN FIGHTING CHALLENGE! (created by Tuss and others inc.)


Rules are pretty simple, they're the same as the Dynami vs. Lucian challenge.
*mutters again*
Damnit! They changed it? I hope we at least got them here. Oh, here they are:

-Tournament style: meaning that each clans are picked randomly to face each an opponent. The winner gets the fight one of the winners, until two finalists get to fight for ultimate glory to become CHAMPION OF PAXIA, thus making it's members CHAMPIONS OF PAXIA!
-The clans are free to choose between attacking their opponent or defending themselves. Attacking the other brings down some points to the ennemy, while defending brings your own team's points up.
-Battles are done during weekend. Clan members can talk about participating from Monday to Thursday. At Friday, judges will pick randomly two clans to fight each other. Saturday and Sunday are fighting days. Note the timezone used will be the one Artix Entertainment uses for their games, which is GMT-5 Eastern time.
-The battles will be held in the Adventurer server (free button on the homepage) to give a chance to every kind of contestants to participate.
-The clan who has the best positive fluctuation of points at the end will be determined as the winner.


Is that it? Oh yeah, one last detail:
If your clan wishes to participate in this event, please post in this thread. If your clan leader is unable to speak for the participating clan, whatever the reasons, feel free to post on the timeline, which is Thursday. Remember that if you are the only one participating in your clan, you represent it, so the whole clan will lose\win, depending on the result. Clans are normally Disqualified if no member of those clans post to participate.

Changes may come unexpectedly if the creators are unlikely opposed to what has been said here.
We will not be held responsible if your clan is declared "loser" because you only had one member to defend your honor.
You have been warned...

All the active members from Dynami will participate. We won against Lucian, so the other clans shouldn't be too tough.

 Not sure about this as Geoto seems rather thinly spread at the moment but I will ask if there are people willing to spend time on this.

Good question... It would take someone avaible during Saturday midnight and Monday midnight AQ time. I could still do it again, but I'm participating, so that makes thing difficult. Unless you have faith that I'll not cheat.

I'm surprised we haven't brought that question earlier in the PPFs.

 I highly doubt that you would cheat. Plus most people dedicated enough to judge would also want to be in it.

Alright fellas, here's the match-ups:

-Dynami VS. Nocturu
-Lucian VS. Glacius
-Geoto is going to the second round to face one of the winners, unless another clan shows up.

The battles will begin Saturday midnight AQ time.

I call shenanigans on that contest.

Dynami vs Lucian. Was two clans...... one against one.

Now suddenly it is four clans........ two against two.

Who agreed to that?

A better match would be Dynami vs Glacius this week.

Then Geoto vs Nocturu in a couple of weeks.....

That's one vs. one/one vs. one. Then one of the winner face geoto in a one on one, then at the end it will be one on one. I don't see any two against two. That's tournament style, which I mentionned in the first post.

People on the PPFs agreed to that and no one raised any objection. So I assume most of the active participants approved.

Why would that be better? Geoto isn't sure if they'll join yet. And Dynami vs Glacius would also mean Lucian vs Nocturu. That'd basically mean we'd be competing against our greatest ally?

Also, if we'd have weeks between those competitions it would take forever to complete.

This Lucian is free this weekend, woohoo!

Nocturu Vs. Lucian isn't a big concern. These are match-ups made randomly, so we could've had that match-up. If that was to happen someday, I'd rather call it a friendly competition.

Otherwise, like BWNocturne said, it would take forever to be done with the tournament if we proceed like Sigmund proposed. Making the first round's matches all together this weekend will be easier, faster and less boring for the competing clans.

Yeah,I remember reading that those matches will be random so a L/N wouldn't be a problem imo too n it could happen for 24 hours...what I didn't understand is HOW we can call the pairs random? I mean do ppl "flip a coin" or smth? Is there a "vote/poll" or somebody tells/dictates which pairs will be playing n when?

Actually, I picked the pairings. Here's how I figured it:


Dynami already fought Lucian, so that wouldn't work.

Geoto might not participate, so they're the extra.

And Lucian vs Nocturu would be cliché.


So yeah, Dynami vs Nocturu, Lucian vs Glacius, with Geoto as extra.

Oh! I guess u accept Proposals r "open to discussion",then?
Here's how I figure it:
Lvs D already HAD a round...how about they BOTH have a break THIS week?!
That would live us with what then?I mean EXACTLY which other clans have already shown interest in this?

Dang, I shouldn't have said anything.

Also the interested clans are Dynami, Lucian, Nocturu, Glacius, and Geoto. It would be awesome if another clan was interested, so we can have even match-ups.

Why does it have to be random? What's so wrong with the ones I picked? If they were random, wouldn't the ones I picked be a possible outcome? I also don't know anything about the other clans, so I wouldn't know who's stronger.

Also, the battles would work out like this:

IMO? We CAN'T say it's random,then! N I clearly read at the beginning of this thread that they will be "random"...No,if YOU picked them.Right?

Also,why should you pick them? It could be ANY person...even I could have come up with the pairs,in that case.No? I DO know some things about the other clans (...I think...! )

Anyway,what I really mean here is that TO ME random would be more fair as chances would be equal for all possible matches.YES! Your proposal would be one of those chances IF it had been random,but they weren't!

I also proposed a couple of ways: "flip a coin" n leave it totally to luck/chance=random.Ooor ask ppl what matches they'd like to see but that wouldn't be so random...In any case better than ANY single person deciding which/when each clan's gonna be playing.

Also,I insist that BOTH D AND L had a round...let's move on to the next couple.BUT these are just MY thoughts. Ppl can/WILL always do differently if they see THAT more fit/appropriate.

The pairings have been discussed, on the PPF. We all agreed on this setup, not our problem that you refuse to register in a forum where 90% of all active Paxians gather to discuss things.

Not that the pairing matter much anyway, the strongest clan will win in the end, no matter who fights who.
