You could always voice over your character from a picture of it, not as embarrassing as making a whole video and dressing up silly to death, it's always good to take a chance.

I may get the program After Effects soon, so this will be some great practice with it. Maybe I can get a wig and some fun costumes? YAY! And I got some ideas for how I can fix some of the things there so it would look cool. So yay, if it turns out as good as it looks in my head, then I would get really surprised, because it would be my first time of doing it xD But I am just hoping I get a result that is pretty good...

I still think that iz a great idea & actually quite fair. Why? Because everyone will still have the opportunity to participate and utilize the next medium if they were unsuccessful the first time. Honestly, the youtube vidz could become temporarily obsolete for the next monthly competitions until (or if) AE decidez to reuze that same medium in the future. So people that didnt win the first time may resubmit their same vid without it being a wasted effort. ^^

That way, you can still get a winning chance, as I am pretty sure no entries put in this topic will be looked at by the AE staff. Just a little heads up. If you have already put it there, then OK, thats good, just remember putting it here will not help you. :D

I finally finished my Hs entrie that is 19 minutes 49 seconds 16 mila seconds Know i just got to add audio to it and how do i expect to finded songs that lead up to 19:49:16?

@Gabriel Darkmoon: Actually, if you checked it out a bit more closely, you would know that the "get an NPC"-thing happens through a secret in game thing, making it possible to win without even making a video. The video thing is just to increase your chances. And I don't really find it unfair. If you want the fame in game, it is a good price to pay to just make a little video. Also, you just say it is unfair to only be allowed to use videos in a video contest...

 @OleJ96 - The main NPCs are being selected by a secret in-game process. The contest is for additional NPCs. And it's not technically a video contest - they're not judging the quality of the video, but rather the character being presented. So, yes, it's unfair to limit it when there are plenty of other methods of presenting a character.

@GriffinFire: By video contest I meant a contest where you use video. But agreed, there is lots of other ways to present it, but videos are more fun, and may also show creativity in several ways at once. And because most people do have a camera/a cell phone with a camera, it should be possible for everybody that really wants to.

For real? it being just to judge the presentation of the character, something such as a writing contest would be both more simple and fair, as anyone can just write a story, I myself, I don't have a camera and while my cellphone does have a camera, it doens't have a memory card(it used to have, but I needed it for my DS).

Some may disagree, but that's what I think.

I agree with Veya. I want to enter, but i cant do irl videos. I can animate, but that takes a while and I don't want there to be any copyright issues or anything with music or sound.
Honestly, I like the writing contest idea. It's simple, but a very good way to pick an NPC. At least then AE will be able to adjust the personality of the NPC so that it's really the winning person's npc instead of it just being another villain unlike the actual character at all.
