 Is it varium luck or stragety

well i thick its mostly luck aand a bit of varium

mostly because recently i have being playing as a non- varium techmage winning at about 80% due to luck factor

Varuim is suppose to have the advantage, cant get people to donate if they dont get a slight advantage. So its not "Varuim luck" its "Varuim muscle" lol.

Luck>Strategy>Varium

Luck: When an oponent do 2 block 1 crit or 3 crit 2 block it doesnt important what build you use or Varium/non varium

Strategy: Some realy good Non variums win me sometimes they need a little luck thats because i put Luck to first

Varium: The Non Varium Seasonal Rare items is realy good and now Non variums can enhance their items so Varium makes the battle %90 guaranty but for the other %10 they can beat Varium players.

It's all Luck that decides the Victor.

Back in Beta Days, it was a test of Stats vs Stats & Tactics vs Tactics. Every single skill was useful then. Ranging from the Most Balanced Builds to the Most Unbalanced ones, everything was possible. You were allowed to battle to the best of your abilities.

This is a whole different ED now. We use Azreal's Bane to boost Crits what only Support was support to do. We use the the new Celtic Cleaver to boost Connect so as to Negate the Block abilities which Dexterity was supposed to boost. Bots have come down to boost even more Melee Attacks & in turn replacing Skill-Based Attacks. Our skills like Poison & Supercharge are History & we are penalized if we dare to use HP. Weapons have overtaken Stats & Skills. Restrictions have been put on Builds. Right now, I just feel like am bound with chains in every single battle. Strategies are dying. Strength is the truth & stats are a joke.

So what is it that will give you a win in a 30-Seconds battle ? Just luck & nothing else. And its a Game Engine that decides the winner & not our abilities. It's all a battle of Luck vs Luck now !

fail on my part but somewhat yours too. when i read this the first time i thought you ment "Varuim luck" or "strategy" not "Varuim", "luck", or "strategy". I would say all 3 weigh heavy on the win, luck doesnt always happen but if it does it def gives you the win, Varuim is just dominating the game atm, and although most people dont see it as strategy those builds like Smoke/Massacre and Maul/Berserker was invented by someone to be a strategy but the fact that those builds are being copy n pasted by a vast majority of the Merc/Bounty community it was once a strategy and now just no skill class abuse.

Wow, for once I agree with Crovile, this once fun game has now turned into a battle of luck or whoever uses the most strength.

This game was more fun before , I changed my mind the only factor is LUCK , if you use the most stupid build still 1 crit will make you Victor

And how this can be posible the dex difference is 80 and i got SA , How can i dont block :S = LUCK

Why This STR abuse Mercs always go First and always do STUN = LUCK

EDIT: Im a STR User i got 32 support , Why i always hit with gun against +90 support players (i shouldnt hit but i always hit) = LUCK but when an oponent come with 10 support higher than me , i deflect = LUCK

How can i Win a Battle if My oponent do 3 crit 2 block :S = LUCK

Luck plays a far too sinister role these days. The so called rampant "luck" factor is taking this game from its true course of a pvp game using your stats and strategy to advantage to being a somewhat young kiddy game where everyone gets lucky.
I used the Celtic Cleaver just after I bought it and my first match was against a lvl 30 varium player. We both ended up laughing because even though my dex was far greater than his I just could not strike him. 5 blocks! Haven't bothered with the Celtic Cleaver since. Ridiculous!

Don't quote me here but I read somewhere that after our game developers get the quests going and the new engine set up that they will revisit game balance. Now I love the idea of quests for something different and I do love the designs of the St Patricks weapons but I wish that AE would lend our game developers a hand to get things moving at a slightly faster pace.

Luck and Strategy can go hand in hand.

Luck dominates by 50% Strategy 30% and Varium 20%
