the lvls 1 weapons the starter weps

mage give tec

mercs give dex or supp or tec

and bounty hunter GOT NOTHING.

and they have smokescreen right away which can increase their damage futhermore

Apprentice Staff gives +13 damage and +3 tech
Basic Club gives +12 damage and +4 str (so its like +13 damage)
Light Blades give +14 damage

If you look at the stats light blades are the best.

The only advantage of the starting weapons for mercs and tech are that the stat modifiers can boost some of their skills
