Item Purchase Level Requirement

I want to start with an apology just in case a similar thread like this has been posted before.


Well I just realized, I missed a bunch of rares when I wasn't the required level due to the fact that you can't buy weapons higher than your level.

I'm not complaining or anything, it just hit me on why we can't buy weapons that require a higher level. It obviously would of been more beneficial for me if I could buy the weapons I wanted or soon to be rare and just keep them in my inventory until I could use them.

I'm level 32 now, so it doesn't necessarily matter to me anymore. But this would affect those lower levels that may have Varium and would want some level 32 rare item.

Thus leading to the question, what if we can buy the weapons of the higher levels, in other words no level requirement in order to buy a specific item? We obviously can't equip them but the purpose of it is so we can save them for later, once we reach the required level.



What are your thoughts about this? Should that be allowed? No? Why or why not?

Yes you can, I got 2 lvl 32 rare weapons on my alts.

yeah I heard also that you couldnt buy items if you didnt meet the requirements but you can now for sure. so must of been a recent change a few weeks ago maybe

Right now you can, before December 25th or so you couldnt....

Originally you could buy whatever you wanted, then they restricted it to things you could equip since some people were spending their last credits on things they couldn't equip and then were stuck. NOW you can once again buy what you want (I think this changed with the George Lowe release). You can even purchase weapons from another class.

It might be a good idea for a warning to pop up when purchasing something you can't equip, to prevent the the previous concern.

^Actually it does give you a warning when you try to buy a weapon specific to another class. Anything else, its really stupid if you spend your last ammount of credits on an item 10 levels higher than you.

Nebula you're right...I guess I completely skipped over it in the "are you sure you want to purchase?" message. I suppose they should put the warning in bold red for people like me, who haven't yet learned to read
