Ballyhoo in ED!

Every game made by AE has ballyhoo, having the chance of winning 5 coins etc. Why not in ED? Having a chance of winning 5 varium for watching a sponsored Ad lets say for varium. "Buy varium today, and get unique and powerful weapons and armors." etc.

Anyone with me?

Agreed, or Disagreed. Please explain why. (Optional)

EDIT: If you've noticed, this game is like Mechquest and Dragonfable. What's the Difference? The answer is this is Player vs Player and not Player vs NPC. Not much different then other games.

I think it would be kinda cool. Also it would be a nice way of getting nice daily credits. Lets say 50 creds an add and a max of 20 ads a day so as to get 1k a day. Laso as an added bonus they could add a 20-25% chance to get like 5-10 varium depending on their level. Ballyhoo could also have some kind of an opening event Shop with Balyhoo's forest axe in it as a sword or something. Or another thing they could do is add the shop but make it so you can only acess it after you get so many wins per day, or an acheivement that drops from the videos but has like a 1-10% drop chance?

agree, its a good AE tradition, and its a nice way to show ed player that its not 100% about the money. 5 varium would take forever to get anywhere, but it would still be a nice gesture.

25-50 this way they have enough to buy themselves a helmet look with their chars.

^ 25 - 50 is to much. - Imagine if they did it daily ...

Ballyhoo normally gives a reward for the basic currency (Coins) And then has a rare chance to give a small amount of members credit (Varium, Z-tokens, Adventure coins ect.)

So i'd say have a 25 - 100 Credit reward per ad, And then throw in a 10 - 15 Varium reward occasionally.

I think these are more then enough considering Ballyhoo usually gives 10 Ads per day.

why is it too much?

if u do ballyhoo in AQW for a whole day thats enough to get 200+ ACs
but ur forgetting the average non varium doesn't play all day.
and since they are non varium they are probably little kids. and if they are little kids they cant stay all day doing ballyhoo.
overall ur getting what u deserve because the adveizer pay for ur varium as long as u watch their adds.
and besides the chance of getting varium thru ballyhoo will probably be 10% (just like in aqw, its 10%)

^, The ads are set on a 10 per 24 hours basis .....

10 Chances of 25 - 50 varium ...Gives a hypothetical chance of 500 varium in a day.

I mention this when we first merge with AE. But it was delete off and yes I do think should be add in game.

If you ever played ALL of the AE games which I obviously think you didnt by your replies to this post.. You'd find that they give you gold or creds daily and you have like a 10% chance to get 5 coins. In this case you get 500 credits (depending on lvl) everyday and a 10% chance of getting 5 varium.

I'm pretty sure everyone wants this because it not only helps non-variums. It helps us. If we need 5 more varium to launch a 1.5k rocket (talking bout warkills here.) You can try getting it by ballyhoo.
I don't understand why you are declining this. Are you afraid of losing to a non-varium mage or something?

ballyhoo is like an AE tradition
(and most games have a place called Lore (except maybe mechquest cause i didn't play it much) ED is called Delta V (im guessing this is somewhere in out space in a land far, far away from lore) if u want ballyhoo here, its gonna have to be the AE way just like it is for the other games)

It's really not for varium, but for credits, since it takes so long to get just 500 credits.

Adding the Ballyhoo feature to EpicDuel for the purpose of collecting additional add revenue would not be difficult. The trouble I see is the inflation it causes in the other AE game. Because players who spend absolutely no money can earn free, in this case Varium, it would be a huge disincentive to buy Varium and give players more Varium purchasing power. It has become that way in the other games and inadvertently has caused in-game items to cost more to compensate. I, for one, don't want items in ED to be more expensive. While it's hard not to agree with an idea to get something of cash value for nothing, I am not in favor of this feature in EpicDuel. For the record, I play almost every AE game so I would consider this fact while you digest my opinion.

It sounds pretty good for ballyhoo to arrive into ED. But traditionally for ED, npc's have a certain function so therefore my idea is to bring ballyhoo to ED but you must beat her to get the treasure (credits or varium). Just my suggestion, doesn't sound all to bad no? Even if Ballyhoo comes into ED the amount of varium or credit depends on the game's currency value. Hence in AQ, ballyhoo awards high amounts z-tokens since in AQ plus you can get tokens from battles. This is the sole reason why z-token items in AQ are in thousands hence now a days its around 10k tokens just for a regular weapon. Looking MQ, nova gem pricing for items are quite small but its due to the fact that the game has a lower population of players now and that there isn't any type of strong inflation atm. So after this long post I suggest to keep the amount of varium given fromm ballyhoo:5 and credits: 150. Plus ballyhoo might draw more players, more players = more support.

15 fights isn't that long

only problem with that is the lvl range. if its lvl 27 a lvl 33 cant fight her. if its a lvl 21 they cant fight her.
not to mention that those varium will have to actualy be payed for (the acs and coins are paid by adding ads)
because companies PAY AE to ADD ads to their games, it allows free to play a chance to get something while AE also gets money.

@goldslayer1: True, maybe giving her a level of 1. Limit the amount of battles you can have in a day, its pretty simple to solve that common issue. The real problem i see is that what will happen to the varium pricing if ballyhoo ever gets put in the game.
