people just don't have the mind to search for creativity, I came up with a decent mage build (not high sup, not str, not 5 focus) and it is amazing and IF played well it will beat ALL builds (I've faced all sorts of strategies from mercs/BHs/mages, proving victorious over EVERY copy+paste build that has emerged during this period of tiime)

also dax NEVER WAS creative with the str build, it was simply a modified version of the high hp str build used during beta, true creativity is xendran with high hp builds and oxblood with the first heal looping build

 Was it worth the cost of fun? For that I'll say no. I still have fun with 5 Focus. A LOT of it.

Dax didnt create the str build, no chance in hell. Dax was a mage originally, and str build was around long before dax even played.

so? what if there was a high hp str Bh during beta.
doesn't mean anything, they also had high hp mercs.
and sure heal loop was creative, but everyone who was a mage copied it.
heal loop is also another stat dumping build (stats into hp, Field medic and reroute)
doesn't make a difference.
heal loop was for high %, str BH is for speed.
u go ahead and bring a heal loop build now and put it against a 5 focus BH and it will have alot of trouble.
and my money would be on the 5 focus BH.
heal loop can beat str BH (if the str Bh dont out smart the heal loop)
basically people just use the excuse of "stat dumping" for their loses.
if u keep getting whooped so much, then be "creative" and make a build that can fight these "stat dumping" builds and dont QQ about it.

im talking about the modern str Bh with frostbite, frostbolt, eggzooka/bunnyzooka, and founder.

The first best str build was made up by Shaniqua with some communication with Lightmare. I remember when I first saw him use it to soundly defeat Nightwraith. We had a long discussion about where it came from. Others might have toyed with the idea but truly the first sickly high str build evolved out of the need to defeat a boss NPC without all these enhancements and at a significantly lower level.

As a fabulous player he was, he was not a skill reset or heal looping mage. He was initially part of the phase where battle mages were born with use of Malfunction and rely on deadly aim on rage. He did implement loop cycles within his battle mage build, which made him a better player, but he was not the first. The cycling of skills came way before him. If he was still playing he could attest to it.

With this game, all builds have been made, but they are continued to be modified or revamped for the ever-changing landscape of the game. Some become quite effective and eventually cloned, and some other's will continue to improve upon it.

To say who is first is very difficult, simply because not everyone communicates in this game. I also feel that the Founder/Beta stages did produce many of the templates were are using for builds.

@Edwardvulture To be honest, most people had the 35 35 35 35 for extra damage, bots are useless unless you have 4 focus and high tech or 5 focus and mid/high tech. You see more people with 2 focus ( that aren't strength spammers ) because focus doesn't give more damage.

@Goldslayer1 If you meant the Frostbite str build, you should have said that, to avoid... well... what people posted.
Also, wasn't it Bluebird that made it? Or maybe he used a different version. But saying "its not here fault people decided to copy her" and meaning anyone who used a similar build is so wrong. A lot of people thought of it by themselves, without even knowing Dax used it. I used a similar version of it but I had no idea that Dax used it. ( Also, I had to use Dragon Cannon, which mean there would be quite a lot of differences in the build )

well seeing how donna, icy glacier, and maybe corum had the same build as her. (last time i saw icy he had the same build dax made)

TBH I don't think anyone "created" the heal loop mage build. It was jsut a phase we all went into to stay competetive.

Untrue, i used high hp heal look for months before people caught on, or even had a name for it.

It was Xendran that used hp to make a truly unbeatable build for the best of mages. I think that they were my favorite people to fight, but since they're gone it's like all the builds I like no longer work.

Take away agility and we might see some higher hp builds like that 199 one by illuminator

I agree. MY non varium BH is left with no build to use. So I just use a focus build with no robot so its useless and I cant get around the stat reduction or use 5 focus build so non variums are dead basically. We cant use focus build anymore(No robot) and we cant abuse any stat we dont have enough stats to get around it.

Soon if non variums don't get new weapons or somehing
To improve their characters most will disappear. Personally
I think each non varium should get like 995 varium so they
Know what it's like and maybe then they would buy some more.

Heal loopin- heal 2 or more times a battle?

i have no money so i cant do any more creative builds lol. I can no longer buy vars so ill probably be left in the dust by people who continue to buy var packages thats fine with me. I wish i had credits to start retraining but im using those to make my str build viable again sigh...

Funnily all "creative builds" have some power level
meanwhile the commonly OP builds out there is stronger.
I think if we can somehow balance those build the game will have a lot more builds so it's not too boring anymore
