its part of the lvling up process. it happened in 1 vs 1, in 2 vs 2, and now it will happen in 2 vs 1. so stop making a big deal out of it saying its cruel because its the same in every mode. in this one however they stand a better chance because its 2 vs 2. and if they were smart like the lvl 33 they would have better gear, better builds and better strategies.
