I think I'll be dropping out of this tournament as well. I can't keep up with all of this...

Whenever I say something like this, it's because I'm confused. Can I get a general location of where each battle is occuring? I'm in the southwestern corner of the room.

Read the post, Star. =P Marcos isn't scared of anything, except perhaps the sad quality of his competition. =P

As for positions, I can tell you the best I've got. Goshen and Leira are in the northeast corner of the arena. Marcos, Gabriel, and Nightfall are fighting inside the center square defined by the pillars in the southeast corner. Reeve, Kainrahn, and Tantatto are more near the north of the center square, and you know where you and Fenrys are. Djaal is wandering around near the center trying to decide who to kill next. I think he should kill Marcos, but we all know what I think. =P

Anything else? I was going to post today but then things happened and now I'm all worn out so I'll have to post tomorrow.

Alright, the first part of my and sups super awesome collab post is up, expect the second part after a few more people have posted. We each wrote (as) our own characters in this post and that's how you can identify who's responsible for what. Other than that, enjoy the collab.

Yes folks, this monstrosity is 1/2 of the complete post. I'll be posting the other half after Krey has had a chance to post again, and then we should be at the same time as everyone else.

By the way, during this round of posting currently going on, the rocks I sent out should be over by the west wall of the Cellar, just bouncing off the arena's. They aren't as fast as Marcos' ice shards. :P

Anyway, I'll get working on it and hopefully have it up today. There's been a rash of thunderstorms in my area, though, so that may not be possible :/

Posted! Feel free to point out any errors, and they will be rectified or apologized for profusely.

Sequence of events: Marcos chatty-chatty, Gabriel collects Kain's knife -> Gabriel steps back -> Gabriel throws boomerang, pulls Marcos -> Gabriel tugs on hopefully knife (her knife that she threw at Marcos earlier) -> Gabriel makes Reeve's shirt hit him in the face. =D

She's holding her shield between her body and Marcos, so it'll provide nominal cover should those shards turn deadly, but if her knife-gravity-pull missed then she'll have stumbled too close for comfort to Marcos... and then she'll be in trouble. So if anyone feels like screwing with my magelet, go kick her knife out of the way. >_> Don't screw with my magelet. <_<

Dajaal just roared very loudly so I suggest you cover your ears. To anybody looking at him right now all that would be seen is a gigantic ball of screeching darkness with glowing purple eyes and possibly horrible body odor. He's going for Marcos... it should figure that he'll at least distract him enough that somebody else can take an aimed shot at him. That heat sink needs to be taken out and this is the most direct way.

His concentrated hatred right now will strengthen his resolve, also, he's not going to stop moving until something dies a painful death.

Dajaal also has no idea of the power of his blades, just that they feel more powerful than normal weapons. For your reference, quick magic will be eaten by Netheria and converted into dark energy for Dajaal to use as he wishes. He will be aware that energy is channeled through the blade as soon as any magic is absorbed.

As a side note I won't be available to post from Thursday to Sunday due to a trip. I apologize for any problems that causes.

My post is up now. Dajaal has taken up a defensive position and will react brutally to any attack with all weapons in his arsenal.
Gabriel is currently hiding behind the pillar, but Dajaal can sense her angelic blood without pinpointing her exactly location, as well as smell her fear. He is also roaring again, which is still unreasonably loud.

Reeve moved. Drastically. First he flew over to the SE pillar, where Gabriel was, and now he's heading towards the SouthWest pillar were Marcos used to be.

Edit: By the way, Shadowlord, Gabriel happens to be invisible now. She's inside Dajaal's shadow, which has the fascinating effect of making her disappear. =D But it's no big. ^_^

Right. There are problems with Starstruck's post. Several of them.

First, he is like a full minute behind, roughly. Those shadow chain things were LONG before Marcos ever had his ice shields up. That is one major problem in and of itself.

Secondly, and ANOTHER major problem, except more complex, is that the shields are not rotating. They move however Marcos wills them to. They will not stay still for Tantatto to jump on them. In fact, they would move out of the way, and Marcos would then proceed to use his bladed staff to impale Tantatto as he flies helplessly towards him. A blatant bunny has been committed here.

Sorry I'm so behind, Krey.

My internets went away for a looong time, so forgive me if I'm behind ^_^;; I was in a big rush to avoid being disqualified, impaled on a shadow thingie, or both, and I suppose I didn't read your post carefully enough to have to worry about being impaled by an ice staff. I thought it was revolving because it was supposed to just revolve; my mistake. I suppose he could have been running around in circles for a minute and a half, but that tends to be rather taxing staminawise. Therefore, if Kell permits it, I will edit out any interaction with Marcos and simply take the darkness things out independently.

Sorry to be a bother -.-" I hope we can work this out.

Few questions:

Gedd, your energy is only affecting your immediate area when you switch around stakes, right? And you are at the southeast corner when that happens, correct?

Disc, Dajaal seems to stop his roaring, then roar again. When he stops to speak, does the roaring cease? Your post seems to indicate that his roar is brief, but you've said other places that it is continuous. Can you give some clarity about the nature and intensity of your roar? Is it an actual vocal response, or simply the resonate quality of your current shadowy state? Does it have pauses in it, does it ululate in pitch or tone at all. More, I want to know if it is something Goshen will have to deal with consistently or whether I can mostly ignore it. Also, you are in the southwest corner, right?

Krey, I'm under the impression that it hasn't /actually/ gotten that cold yet in the arena. Can you give me a real life example of the estimation of what it would be like right now in the center portion of the arena? And I know where you are! :D

DNW, which corner is Nightfall in. In my mental landscape, I have him at the northeast pillar, which would put him near Goshen, opposite of Dajaal. Is this correct? I need to know if I need to deal with him in my next post or not.

 Reeve's at the southeast pillar when the spike switch occurs. The electricity somewhat randomly strikes a small area around him;there was no one close enough to get hit by it directly. DNW and Jerenda both chose to get hit by stray energy, but this was far less powerful than the electricity that was produced around Reeve.

Reeve is currently pretty near the south east pillar and moving towards the south west one.

Grawr, I've been oriented the wrong way since the beginning of Marcos' last movement. Good thing I wasn't fighting him :P I've got your position now, Gedd. Just have to reorient my head now...

Also, so there is errant energy that is striking up to 20+ feet away? Impressive.

Right. First thing and most important - Kell gave me permission to end Tantatto due to breaking the time cutoff limit and pulling another major bunny. Kell should be editing this post at some point with confirmation so that all know it is official.

Secondly, an answer to Superjars' question. I'm figuring it at around 50 degrees inside the pillars now and steadily dropping. Outside the area of the pillars, it's probably around 60 degrees at the warmest point. Figure it at about 1 degree drop per post at this point, roughly? That should give people a fairly good idea of where it's at and where it's headed. If anyone thinks this sounds unreasonable feel free to state as much (With reasoning). This is a fairly tricky effect to estimate so it's entirely possible I am overestimating it myself. Basically, though, it's not quite cold enough to really affect anyone who is active. Adrenaline is pumping, bodies are active and generating heat, and all around 50 degrees is not that cold to an active body. Stand still though, do nothing, and you're likely to start feeling it.

And finally, for Discipline - the shards will not move until one is destroyed. Destroy one of them, the rest will immediately launch for the center of the darkness.
