I merged these topics for several reasons. One is they would both be locked with the same idea.

Pricing discussions are discouraged because it's really not a topic for discussion. The development staff has less control over pricing than you think, and in the current economic climate, businesses such as our little independent game company are struggling to keep prices where they are rather than raising them. It's not that we wouldn't love to have a completely free game and still somehow make enough money to support it, but that's just not reality. For this reason, discussions on pricing are largely internal, and the forums are not an appropriate venue for this, because it's not a discussion. Everybody would like it if everything cost less money, so I know where you're coming from, but it's not an appropriate discussion for these forums and additional topics like this will also be locked.
