Hi, I was informed to post this idea in this forum section (by no moderator or dev). The current issue in EpicDuel forums is the many complaints, rants shown to all viewers of the forum who use it. My suggestion is to create a forum unique for ranting and whenever someone is about to post in the general discussion area, they get a message asking if: "If this is a rant thread, click here". They would be sent to the forum where they could post their thread in complaints where it won't interfere with the normal flow of normal discussion threads. This would be better than seeing a whiney document every so often in discussions as opposed to fulfilling discussions. Thanks.

 Although I'm not entirely sure of the specific kind of rant thread you're referring to, if such a thread is currently considered a legitimate ED GD topic, it's not really our prerogative to petition for their quarantine in another board (unless you think a change in board policy is warranted, in which case you should discuss the matter with the board's head moderator). On the other hand, if the thread would normally be deleted then that's really all its future has in store. These forums aren't meant to entertain threads which serve no purpose, and a "rant board" seems like a magnet for bad behaviour to me.

 There shouldn't be any ranting here, period. We are happy to see feedback from the players, but diatribes serve no real purpose but disharmony. So if you see rant threads in ED GD that you don't think should be there, PM an ED ArchKnight and he or she will remove it.

I was a supporter of this idea, mainly because it would decrease the number of rant threads that occur in ED General Discussion. I was thinking this forum could be seperate from the General Discussion, and of course the Devs would not be expected to read it.

 Rant threads don't belong anywhere on the forums. Moving them from GD to another 'rant forum' doesn't solve the problem at all; it just compounds the problem by giving the impression that the forum staff condone ranting.
