so since theres a new rule about begging for fame not being tolerated in the forums.
i was wondering
what is ur opinion if such a rule were to be implemented ingame?
how would this benefit the game?
how more enjoyable would the game be?
should beggers ingame be punished like they are in forums?
and what type of punishment do u deem fair?
ur thoughts?



NOTE:
mods/aks this isn't a suggestion, this is just me asking the fellow forum mems what they think if a similar rule was implemented ingame and how would it benefit the game and their game play.

i would also like everyone to stay on topic without flaming or trolling anything or anyone.
as for ak/mods i see this as a good discussion so if something does get out of hand can u please delete the individual posts?

Well it would be a relief to ppl like me who dont care much about fame and care more about actual gameplay. It wuld benefit the game cuz no more begging for fame and less people annoying you. Well beggers maybe should get a warning then after like 3 times then they get a 1 week mute or something.

Well just like in forums I want beggers to be banned for maybe 3 days or weeks. This will teach them a lesson on how to shut up and how to stop irritating some one. I will return and play again once this thing is implemented. Btw is no healing included in begging? Message me if this thread got locked or deleted because I have a feeling.

actually i thought a 24 hour chat lock should be given to the person asking for fame.

and i dont think it would get locked.
theres nothing wrong with the original post.
lets just hope players dont get flame baited by higher ups.
and players keep it in topic.

Gold. I think that they should have a warning first. Then may be a small chat lock, because they may not know it is not allowed.

But further 'offences' could be stackable and incur longer chat locks.

ahh yes. well asking if they can win is considered begging.
and "no heal" is also a type of begging.
so yeah probably a 24 hour chat lock for those to aswell.

this would help keep the game clean of spam, and begging and all that stuff >.>

@fay beee
maybe 2-3 warnings. but thats about it as far as fair or balanced goes.

If such rule was to be implemented in game then what would be the point of Fame itself?If you cannot ask for it,then all the fame you get depends on goodness of other players.If they want to or remember to fame you.But considering how everybody is already pretty much sick of fame...If begging for fame becomes against the rules,fame will either stop or people will find another way of asking for it.

well if faming is "SOOO NOT ALLOWED " then y do u think ED came up wid this 'faming feature"

guys faming is "part of the game"


nthing against the "rules"!!!


its only banned frm forums not frm "game"

if its so against the "rules" then "[close down the feature"] b4 { zeal,comical,faybee} gets the achevement "as two of them wants no more faming "feature" two of them{comical,faybee "not zeal"}

This would not be beneficial because it would become extremely difficult to acquire fame and that would just ruin the point of those fame achievments. The people who didn't manage to 'beg' for enough fame prior to the introduction would be devastated and begin to complain as well. The only benefit of this is that it would reduce fame spamming, but it's much easier to just ignore the people who plead for fame.

i actually think the fame requests should be limited to the forums and NOT allowed in game....i preferred the fame for fame thread as opposed to the in game spams of f4f

Well @T.600 and @ Callisto

I think what gold slayer mean is that if players where like forcing,flooding or spamming you to fame or pls give me free win/turn, we can report them. In my opinion, I don't want the fame feature to be completely gone but once I say no and they're still spamming f4f, that's the time we are allowed report them.

anyways i think i understood some of it.
my point is that fame should be earned.

HOW u ask?
well lets see, daily leaderboards, all times, ur faction, faction leaderboards.

war kills is an example.
if u shoot war kills for example legion.
some legionnaires may fame u as a "thank you" for shooting a war kill cannon.
and remember alot of players use outside sources for fame.
like facebook and twitter. just because it wouldn't be allowed ingame doesn't mean its the end of the world (cause its not 2012 yet ) or that ur never gonna get another fame again.

however yes i do see how it could be hard for some.

but ill tell u an example. (this may be offtopic but its a good example)

a Hard working person VS a free loader
the hard worker works for his money and earns it.
the free loader gets wealthfare checks.

now would u find it fair for the free loader to receive as much fame as the hard worker?

^ I like your war kills example, but there's not many friendly people out there that would fame a random person. But your fame suggestions, I think that system will die off overtime

 Actually begging for Fame on forum wasn't allowed since the beggining but "Fame for Fame" thread which is best solution. In-game? I would love a way to stop people begging for it everywhere.. :|
Of course that would make game much more enjoyabl as you wouldn't see begging anymore - same should be done with no heals, and asking for winning..
About punishments for that, it's actually hard to find one as not everyone know that they can't beg anymore so they'd ask - and punishment for something being done. Chat lock is kinda good one, and perhaps message when you log-in "Begging for fame is not allowed and will result in _________", etc.

And yeah fame for fame thread is created so why worry when you can't ask f4f on someone? Is that how lazy some ed players are today?

u can get the credits urself
either way like i said u can use other sources like twitter and facebook.
and getting on the daily leader boards is also a good way to get noticed.

for example
i just dont find it fair for a lvl 1 to have as much fame as me when i got way more wins and done WAY more stuff than him ingame.
and gotten on daily boards more than him.

thats why by not allowing fame to be begged ingame, it would make it fair for those who actually play the game and not sit around yelling "F4F PLZ"

juzz agree it "theirs no other easy way to get fames then going and asking for it " until ur lucky enough to get without asking."

well then do what alot of players do.
make a facebook/twitter strictly for gaming.
i did so myself, and so far it worked out great. i only add people i game with so real life people dont get involved.

others ways are, if u have an audience on youtube (subs) u can add boxes on ur videos asking viewers to fame u on ED related videos.

IMO fame is alright, aslong as its kept off game. and gotten by earning it and not begging it.
