I Think This Would Actually Be A Good Idea For The Players...

BUT

Problem #1 = Some Players Say They Are Leaving And They Don't, Making Their Post/Statement Pointless

Problem #2 = The Forum Does Not Want To Encourage Posts That Are Anti-EpicDuel...Players Basically Saying...I Have Better Things To Do Then Play This Game.

It Encourages A Negative View Of The Game And It's "Worth" As A Hobby Or Customer ($$$) Choice.

Solution = Players That Are "Leaving" ED Should Speak Privately With Their Friends And Tell Them...Or Use One Of The Many Various "Net" Mediums To Announce It (Facebook, Twitter, Etc.)

There is already a thread for that sort of thing, its called the Congratulations thread.

EXP:

"Congratulations Player X for getting a real life and leaving ED"

I think we should have one.

There is one already for AE Games in the OC section that we can you which is titled
Birthday / Leaving / Returning / Welcoming Thread and the link is http://forums2.battleon.com/f/tm.asp?m=18788978. So a precedent has already been set.
This, I am sure would be monitored, as are all of the forums and negative posts would still receive locking / deleting.

I understand we have Congratulations and Acc/Dcc but neither of these 2 fit the criteria.
As a player that does not use Facebook, Twitter etc. (for various reasons) the pm position is untenable for me.

Would be ' nice ' is this was allowed because not everyone here is known of the OCC nor do we check it up that much.

I use the congratulations for achievements and targets reached. I have HAD to use it for birthdays also.

But it does not sound rights saying
Congratulations on your Birthday.

They could, of course, just change the name to
Birthday / Leaving / Returning / Welcoming / Congratulations

@Comic: Another reason to look back and remember with loving thoughts the old ED forum. At least back then in the wild, wild west of forums you could get a few posts in before the thread was closed but not deleted. Sigh, I miss the old days. :-(

If you have a suggestion for the forums please post in Forum Suggestions. As Fay Beee said the Birthday/Leaving/Returning thread is used for all AE games and forum welcoming and farewells.

As this isn't a game discussion I am locking it.
