I'm struggling to understand why we don't know anything in terms of how balance is being adjusted... Clearly TLM's are too overpowered...

Well I will have a wild guess on that one.
I say it will be field medic nerf. So that support does not increase it so much. (may be)?

That is all I can think of :)

Jatar we have moved on from the HLTM sledgehammer style nerfing to a more refined style of balancing the downside to this it takes longer but it is usally more effective

Why is it that feild medic, an ability that every single class uses, will get nerfed because tacticle mercs have outrageous def/res and thus can support out in bogus ammounts and can thus literally have a lvl 1 FM that give +50 health? How is that at all fair to any of the other classes?

PumKing something i saw in the Balance thread from WM was making Heal a static number thus weakening Support Abusers and possibily making those who lack support stronger

Thats because its OPED , it forces all builds to use atleast 1 Field Medic or die :P , i use str build and most of the time i need to use booster to cover my lack of field medic and sometimes 2 healbooster + Fieldmedic

If Field Medic increases with other skill, it would not be nerf depending in which stat it is placed. Hopefully this balance update can stop and nerf tlm builds from being oped.

For a PvP game EpicDuel is the slowest progressing game I have ever seen.

The game content with the balance problems does not justify the high varium costs. One would have though that in the years of EpicDuel's existence that some semblance of class balance would have been dealt with long ago.

The retraining feature should have also been dealt with a year ago.

I am not usually such a critical person and I rarely post in any other game whether it is an AE game or any other game.

IMO we should have had 7 good working, unique classes by now each with buffs and debuffs to help us. We also should have had a plethora of robots each with customisable stats to help us improve and customise our builds.

We should have had different areas also that you can only access by being a certain level. (incentives for leveling up)

We should have had battle drops that included rare drops of varium content including the latest varium armors and weapons.

Yes I know that I should put these into the suggestions area but ... its not a suggestion I am making here ... it is purely my opinion. I am expressing an opinion in regard to the latest design notes in the respect that there is not a lot to get excited about considering that there should already be a lot more content.

In part of it I agree Shadronica, also having a small team is not an excuse for its progress, doing balance a child's game has slowed their progress, it should be fixed aslo about varium pricing we are not able to discuss it but I agree with your statement.
Also I have been currently seeing player's twitter adversting epicduel in their descriptions and tweets and I'm one of them, I'm happy to see not only AE sometimes advertise it but players also and one of them is Jzaanu.

You do know that coding is hard. And especially with the kind of code that EpicDuel uses.

My theory about why it hasn't been done yet is because it would interfear with the "Level Up!" which might be game crashing.

More classes, even better, more work for the Devs to keep 'em all balanced. Robots will come, the main reason they haven't came is the coding, because it couldn't been added without crashing the current code, if I understand right.

Would be nice. By far I think that only the Lawman's suit is accesable with leveling.

You can complain all day about what the Devs could or could not have done, but you don't realize the difficulty with coding. Don't get me wrong, sure some new stuff and balance adjustments could have come earlier, but coding isn't easy. You may think it is, but your wrong. Only a coder/the Devs know how long it takes. So just wait. With the new coder, things should progress much faster. Relax and play.

Coding really isn't an excuse for EpicDuel's slow progress. You don't think other games have coding in them?

Besides that Titan made changes a fair while ago in which he claimed that all the features we had been asking for would be made easier for him to code. What happened?

As for balance in the classes each of them should have been unique unlike the tactical merc. Each of the classes should have had skill trees which enabled more buffs and debuffs to counteract. It would allow a far more strategic and interesting game.

That way experienced players can have great battles and the less experienced players would eventually learn good strategy. Rather than the way it is now with one class being so easy to use that my dog could play on it and win. :P Any other game would have dealt with such imbalance immediately.

Let's compare AQW's progress and EpicDuel's:
AQW:
-Everything already coded; the quest codes, the damage calculations, etc.
-Really big team
-Planned for some time ahead
-Doesn't have to be tested for balance, as most of the players are able to destroy anything, and there are parties in the game.
ED:
-Everything needs to be coded, almost from scratch, the weapon stats, how will the stats affect the gameplay, etc.
-Small team
-Doesn't have such many plans inhead
-Has a higher detail in items
-Until few weeks ago it only had 1 coder
-The had all of the code lines re-written in order to make faster progress
-Since it's a PvP game, balance is important, and requires much testing

That'd be it in short.

Can't Compare AQWORLDS with EPICDUEL. Idi** . You know how hard it is with a use to 3 man team ( now 4)???? Titan is a special coder. Without him this game wouldn't be alive.
AQW has alot of mods and devs because AE doesn't like ED that much anymore

Wow. I have been inactive on epic duel for a few days. I wonder how it is doing now? Anyway. This looks good I guess. I am happy it is going to be in mulitple languages. The "si" "no" "jajajajajaja" and the rest need to stop. I am seeing more of those players in the last few days when I was last on.

I'm just hoping for another mutating weapon because that would help me a lot. I think that the language translation thing is extremely pointless. I know that AQW did something similar, but AQW has a thriving community with multiple cultures and it's a much more well established game. Charfade should help make some new weapons (if she knows how to make weapons) and they should focus on the language change later on (in a few years or months). That's just my opinion, and I'm glad to see they're finally introducing another feature we've waited a long time for; the retrain revamp. As for the balance changes, I couldn't care less because I know they're just going to get delayed again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again...:P
