Ayyy, this thread is dedicated to the topic: How would you build EpicDuel if you were the programmer?

This is more for constructive posts rather than blunt replies and reactions. Thanks.

In my version of EpicDuel, I would keep everything as is however I would extract and replace sections.

My edits would be to:
-The log-in screen
-Credit annexing system
-Skill trees
-Juggernaut
-Homes
-Combat animations

A) To start off, I would change the server response frequency. When logging in, I would have the servers update every 5 seconds for the user to enter without having to re-jump.

B) The next thing is changing the amount of credits obtained. I think a faster rate is in order, especially for the higher levels of F2P who lose the obtained credits fast from buying. Remember there are weapons for each level: the potential to buy something every level-up. Enhancements will be varium only.

C) I would abolish the fact that skills improve with stats. This squirrelling of attack over defence is preposterous due to skills benefiting from this overindulgence... such as how support only players gain the advantage of healing and defence skills AND luckiness.

D) Juggernaut mode should not require the task of moving over to the 'Slayer' for the battle mode. I would implement a quick icon for this. Also, the fairness of the fight is stretched and broad. Lower levels have no chance while higher levels have a great chance; I would restrict the level limit to -4 to -6 for player levels battling a juggernaut (ie lv 27 and lv 29 vs lv 33 juggernaut).

E) I would change homes to either one of two things. I would have them be sellable, or I would improve them. To improve them I would make them more interactive. Having furniture items do actions when used (ie sitting in a chair). I could also implement combining house items with faction bases. Having your house and its items added to the faction base would be very pleasant.

F) I would add to the current actions used in battle. Take AQ as a model, jumping, rolling, etc used for the aesthetic purpose in ED. This would add to glamour.

I would give this amount of enhancement slots for weapons of these rarity:
0 enhancement slots for permanent weapons
1 enhancement slot for seasonal rares
2 enhancement slots for limited rares
3 enhancement slots for rares
4 enhancement slots for ultra rares

And also decrease the frequency of varium limited rares and increase the frequency of non varium limited rares.
Most importantly, I would give the TLMs a huge nerf or all other classes a huge buff. (remove either field medic, hybrid armor, or reroute)

If I made this game, I wouldn't of merged with AE period.

I would sit there and fix bugs because nothing bothers me more then a buggy game

Wouldn't have merged with AE you say?

Lol how many people here would have heard of this game if not for AE?

Not only that, but AE also provided a sense of familiarity. Had this game not been with AE I personally would not have spent any money on it because then it's just some unknown game asking for my credit card info.

AE is more established and ready to handle issues that arise. If not for AE, this game would still be in Alpha or scrapped. Titan and Night fresh from college with, I would guess little income, trying to take on the black hole that is the internet gaming world all by themselves?

Doubt it. Merger with AE was a great move and hopefully they continue moving forward. Unfortunately, unless there is some massive overhaul I won't find myself playing much longer. Just too many console games coming up and it won't be long before they start releasing some great console mmo's.

Not much of a PC fan. So much easier to cheat and run scripts than on consoles.

enhancements dont increase price by ratio. i would like a flat rate.
i want this game even more advanced like a board so we can move around during a fight, we still take turns but now gaming experience would be different. im thinking of chess but with epicduel stuff. :)
another thing is BALANCE and that the devs take what ive written in the balance discussion in pg 13 i beleive. thats how i can balance the game. after that, there wont be anymore complaining and we shall live another prosperous age. :)
another is music and sound.
how about we also get..etc
