Guys, I'm going to be as polite as I possibly can here. Look I understand why you guys are doing this, but hear me out. If you try to help other classes by weakening the stronger ones (taking things away), we are going to run out of possibilities. We lose challenge as players, if we don't get a challenge we lose interest. Look I enjoy Epic Duel, and I don't want to see it go down hill.
The balance idea was great, but weakening everyone constantly won't get us there.
Look I have a Tech Mage with a level 3 heal, that heal used to give me 50 points. Seems unreal I guess huh, the reason was to counter the heavy strength mercs and the heavy support mercs.
For the most part I was winning about 70% of the time other than heavy support mercs. How did they win, hitting 50 points of damage on 25 defense points, not the heal, nor reroute.
Now that damage in mind, how are those terribly weak heals going to help us. Who needs a heal when you can blast your opponent into oblivion.

My over all point. You tried to weaken the mercs, and in my opinion you only weakened the other two.
I ask that you guys, fix the heals. Or cut the heal cool down in half. If you don't then you really hurt us mages and the bounty hunters.

Please consider, I have been with you since early beta, and this game seems to be taking a turn for the worse.


I would like to get you other players input on this. Do you (players) really think the balance updates are helping?


For the record I did not see the balance thread when I posted this, I was in a hurry.

Yes. question: how exectly does weakening an allready below par class (mages) and generaly slaughtering all builds that rely on field medic help the game in the slightest? all it is doing is forcing players to switch to high strengh abuse classes and making boss npcs in general nearly impossible to beat.

Waiting for a perfect balance would rather be unrealistic. The testers might have not foreseen this.
But i agree with you in this:

But then again, with the "shared" skills (in which came with the new classes), it made balance much more harder to archive here.
Buffing one class means buffing an overpowered class too, some times.
It is like making an already hard equation, way more harder!

Another thing i really agree was:

I really think that most players should really try to enjoy/appreciate challenges.
Yeah, I understand there are some battles that it appears impossible, but don't just get out the battle without trying your best :\ ...
IN ANY OCCASION, remember : you can always have the "ultimate luck", if your strategy fails.

By failing we actuality improve.
You can pretty much figure out (i guess?) in the end of the battle why you lost and from it... I guess make a build that can counter it? Match your fighting style?

Does anyone really change their builds once they see some space of improvement? Or even make their own mad/crazy/considered insane builds?

On the otherside, i kinda understand that there are players who really don't like the challenge, but the "fast wins"... right?

Consider this, back in early beta to mid-beta. There were so many options for builds, whenever anyone came out with a really tough build, it was lacking in some sort of way.
Support mercs Mages took out with the loop healing idea, how was that loop healing countered? Strength builds. Note that the defenses weren't that high on the mage due to the enormous health.
Bounty hunter strength builds had them beat.
Strength was countered with dexterity for blocking.

And I can keep going, but what I'm getting at is; by the time the balance updates finish we might end up with a total of what 2 builds per class.

Right now I'm trying to figure out a build to somehow deal with this issue but.
