Keep in mind that the whole game engine of HS is vastly different from what ED has. The whole battle system is very different, and alone the fact how ED is turn-based, HS is not, should tell enough about this. (Note: HS will not become PVP only) HS's best side for PVP will be without doubt completely free customisation for the 5 skills allowed. But, this will not overlap with ED nearly as much as it does with AQW. AQW and HS work bot from the same engine, and the play system is very similar. If you ask me, HS is better off in the story and gameplay department (Again, no classes, but full customization), while AQW wins in graphics department. Now, if PVP is done right on HS (Doesn't need much), I can almost taste how HS will steal AQWs fanbase bit by bit. As long as they don't get the certain troll-niche. :/ So, what will happen is that AQW will start losing players, while HS gains them. When people see PVP done right in HS, they will naturally want to check the "real" PVP game out as well, gaining new players for EpicDuel. Thus, we have a win-win-shutupAQW situation. This is what I imagine will happen. @Gold: You are a member in AQW, yes? As if you got membership there after HS was released, you also have it on HS, and all members have neat colored name.
