What makes STR TLMs Oped.

Now I know what alot of you STR TLMs will say is "we arn't Oped we get beatin all the time!"
Well Yes that is true BUT! to me Oped isn't just beating everyone with very few loses, to me OPed is being able to beat almost everyone regardless of how skilled and smart they are given the right oportunities.

WHY?: Because STR TLMs have TOO many low mana costing strength based attacks meaning they can do a skill almost every turn eg. Maul, Double Strike, Frenzy, Atom Smash.
And to me that is why they are Oped, yes I do beat them, but they shouldnt be aloud to become so effective with so little effort.
Also Str TLMs usally maul 2-3 times per match meaning they have a more then 50% chance to stun, and to me stunning is the biggest luck factor of them all and it is what gives the str TLMs the abiliaty to kill whoever they wont whenever they want Providing they get their often stuns.

Solution: I think all they need to do is remove Maul and give the Stun grenade in its place.

WHY?: It means Str TLMs will still be a great build but without the often stuns they will no longer be able to defeat smart people without any effort.
Also Stun grenade suits the TLM class name more then maul does as the skill is more "tactical" then maul is.

Benefits for TLMs: You most likely wont get other nerfs which culd completely destroy the Str build, Stun grenade can be used with swords for all the other TLM builds, It is Completely unblockable and could save your life one day if all you have left is a blockable move and your oppenet has low HP.

Also dont forgot you guys are bound to get a nerf soon so better it be a small less impacting change rather then more requiremnts which will one day ruin the game when all that is left is focus builds.

Tell me what you think makes STR TLMs oped, Or do you think they anr't?

Is it unreasonable change or would it be a fair change? providing TLMs arn't nerfed anymore?

I think Take smoke or reroute Off

If smoke is Off that means they wont just do doule strike and lower ur Hp less then 75%


Or reroute so that Once they used a skill they wont spam it

Often when the skills ready

^ There was a time when these changes could of been done, unfotunately we are in too deep, and any major changes like this will lead to a player outrage and I dont blame them.

But apart from that I can see where u are coming from.

Or just double Frenzy's EP Cost.... LoL

TtMs can spam STR well, because their Hybrid offers them protection from one side, the armor on the other. Non-Mercs need to provide enough of a Defensive stat, since armor only guards one side. TtMs get to have low Tech and Res, and put the rest of the points in STR.

although i havent been able to use a str build recently, i would have to agree with you remorse.. the skill stun grenade definitely sounds more tactical then maul..

Plus if this happens people may go back to old mercs since they now have to stunning upperhand in their str Builds but luky for us, old mercs cant do it endlessly per game.

Agreed, but u also do realise that its not just str tlm thats OPed, the whole community of people who uses str are OPed, especially after the nerfing of FM, of support.

Something that can be used every turn has severely overtaken something which can only be used once every 3 turns.

That's an awesome idea but tlm are the most Opn class in the game and that wont change untill they get rid of reroute and hybird..
and that's a fact *on topic*

stun grenade is a great idea because it wont really nerf them too much but it will stop them from getting those game changing stuns..
+ the stun grenade improves with defence so that means they'll need a good dex build to have some nice damage and they don't even need the stun factor at all.. there even strong with a normal strike + smoke + frenzy = good enough to win..

take away hybrid so they have to can't spam other skills as much
take away bloodlust so they have to use more defenses or HP
take away reroute so they can't spam skills and have to put more on energy so less spammed skills
take away smoke so they can't two shot you every time you fight one

Yes but you can always counter for str builds eg. good shields, intimidate.

But you cannot counter the constant stuns on top of that.

Thank you and i Do agree with you but like I said their is a very slim chance of a major change without them bringing a player rampage.
So I am just thinking of ways in which people could accept to make them less Oped.

First off they dont have bloodlust, and secondily the major changes wont happen see above ^

naw five focus tlm are worse practically almost 100% wins in a 2v2 if u have a 5 focus tanky build with decent heal,smoke and max passives. but still ya str tlm are a bit oped but only for the varium str tlm with the new energy mual a.k.a 2nd cyber Shillelagh and delta maul. also pls dont nerf str buid like how they nerf support builds come on i dun want epic duel to turn into EPIC 5 FOCUS DUEL!! -__-

Well, almost all TtM builds are OPed. So they're already arranging a new Tree, I think, so might as well wait till spectulation on what's more OPed than the other.

true they should remove technician and replace it with blood shield XD and also shift smoke and reroute to tier 4 makes it more annoying and also give smoke a support requirment to make str build for bh and merc nerfed oh while they are at it why not turn epic duel in a p2p game and make rename it to epic 5 focus duel.

they start at 21 sup nor do any of the skills require sup ( Frenzy got support now but not enough for them to have a need to invest in it )

Hybrid having 42 dex doesn't do much except buffing their defences and hitrate
Resistance can be low seeing they still have the armor resistance and with reroute they need no extra energy

^ the 42 dex is to nerf support builds

actually they should put a energy requirement on hybrid instead since hybrid dose not need energy why not just give it an energy requirement. str build hate energy and 5 focus build also hate energy and since support build are already nerfed due to the heal nerf everything should be ok

Great Idea. If you meant as in EP Points. This would not even cripple normal Mercenaries that much, since they use a higher EP score anyways.

I suggest up to 70 EP as a maximum for Hybrid LV10.

^ actually that would increase the effectiveness of smoke with energy requirement :/

I think the best option is to remove reroute and put in static charge :)

actually they should also do that to reroute seem more logical than tech requirement. naw 65 ep seem reasonable and if u want it to be 70 u must make it 71 energy because merc cant have 70 energy points.

also to make things worse they should put a support requirement on smoke + energy requirement on hybrid armor that would be a super duper nerf to str builds and % focus build because 5 focus build hate energy :) die 5 focus morons XD

Frenzy also should lock Field Medic and Surgical Strike, to stop uber Heal-Looping.

The 3 skills lock each other like the Bot Attacks...

And please do not sugest anything to do with requirments they are wat is ruining they game.

Everytime the devs placed requiremnts it has led to restriction when everytime they could of done a better solution.

there is no other ways to destroy a build other then putting requirements. usually 5 focus build are not affected by requirements but by making a energy requirement on hybrid u kill 2 birds with 1 stone

@luna: I have seen alot of TLM's that have 5 focus (high tech) and they use a P armor :/ increases again the effectiveness of smoke.plus they don't hate it they love it :P

Str TLM is not OPED , Tank TLM is , btw if devs nerf Str TLM then Str BH will be same so i dont care if that happen im just gonna change class

to those against the nerfs. support build still works for Tactical mercs, it's just that most of those players want overpowered builds, easy wins etc.
so rather than carrying on with support, the majority switched to the latest OP build. you don't want all tactical mercs to be 5 focus right? well tough
luck, you should of thought about that before you all used the same builds. expect the overhaul to the TLM skill tree. Wiseman and a few others said
it is coming. until then I really don't care what build is overpowered for them, they better enjoy their complete dominance while it lasts cause soon
all classes will be on a more level playing field and will be beating you left, right and center :) you will be praying for luck like we have to right now.
