The Life and Times of Tesserala del Montessore
A bit of background - Tesserala del Montessore is a character I created for an RP based on MechQuest. Aside from the general setting of "giant robots at war," there is little actual similarity between the setting of that RP and the official MechQuest setting, and the same holds true for this story, which is essentially a series of vignettes of Tess' life before the events of To The Stars ... or at this point, simply two such vignettes. It could easily become more, and I do feel like writing more. Heck, it may even turn into an actual full fledged story!
Sources of inspiration include: MechQuest, the BattleTech series (most specifically the Mechwarrior computer games), Heavy Gear (another mech game), and pickles various giant robot animes.
I know there's a serious lack of physical description in this story - I don't give anyone a good idea of what Tess' looks like or what the mechs look like. That's partly because I have a tendency to regard physical description as tedious and thus when I DO describe things in stories I like to stretch it out - as regards the antagonist mechs, this leads me to just give some general guidelines and let people imagine whatever they want. For Tess' and the Bann Sidhe, however, I simply forgot - I'd already done a fair bit of it in the RP I mentioned, so I was going off of that! If and when I continue this, I'll start giving more detailed physical descriptions.
