Farming Credits In Epicduel

Table of Contents:

Introduction [S01]

Missions [S02]

NPCs [S03]

Power Hours [S04]

PvP [S05]

Arcade [S06]

Credits, sometimes abbreviated to 'creds' is the primary currency in Epicduel. It is like 'gold' in other RPGs and MMOs; it's a currency which is attainable by everyone. Credits are required for a lot of things. You will need credits to: add stats and damage to your gear, to change class, to buy gear, to purchase cores and many more things. There are varium shortcuts for some of these features, but some people may not have enough varium to spend, so therefore they will need credits. Farming credits in Epicduel is now much easier than it was when I first made this guide. However, this is a wonderful reference point, especially for beginners, and anyone seeking to increase their in-game wealth! The guide will be updated frequently, and it will contain all the easiest and best ways to farm for credits in Epicduel.
Missions are like quests. The player accepts missions from NPCs and must finish an objective in exchange for an award. Many mission chains exist with unique and intertwining stories associated with them. The in-game mission log is the best place to check which missions are available. Completed missions are in a green text, while incomplete missions show in a yellowish gold text. The ED Wiki also contains useful details regarding individual missions and how to complete them.

There are many missions which reward you with credits. Some of these missions give you weapons. You can sell these weapons for credits or keep them if you think that they're useful. All missions can only be completed once. There are now far too many missions in the game for there to be an exhaustive list. I recommend doing every mission that you can possibly complete. Some missions may require you to beat a high level boss, so being at the level cap helps. Epicduel has now added the ''Hero of Mer'a and the ''Bundorable Chores'' mission chains. These are ''hardcore'' missions requiring an extensive amount of PvP wins. They offer good rewards, but I would complete all the short and easier missions first, since you can only do one mission at once.

In short, completing every mission that you can will net you plenty of credits. Also remember to keep doing any new missions added to the game. Usually monthly or bi-monthly, there are new missions, sometimes even more frequently.

Farming NPCs has always been a great way to obtain credits in ED. The changes to the NPC system means that you can now challenge any combination of NPCs, 100 times per day. The NPC must be within 5 levels of you, in order for it to grant xp and creds. At level 40, I recommend fighting either Big Tuna or Caden during power hour. Caden seems to be a better bet for credits, since he can also drop Bacon, an item that can be sold for credits. With the right gear and build, most classes can beat Caden in 4-5 turns. This makes farming him very efficient, although monotonous.

Some NPCs such as the Abyss Spider and Davarril can be challenged countless times. They both drop credit items and can be killed as many times as possible per day. Unfortunately, it is mainly NPC botters that obtain credits by beating these NPCs. I believe that, for a legitimate player, fighting Caden during power hour, and doing PvP at other times is more efficient. Even doing 100 Caden wins per day will net you a nice amount of credits over time.

Power Hours-

Power hour is an hour during which you can earn double the amount of credits and experience for each victory. The first power hour is at 10AM-11AM (EST), and the second one is at 10PM-11PM (EST). If you don't know what time that is in your country, you should use a Timezone Converter. There are many easy to use Timezone Converters available across the internet. Obviously, if you can play during the power hours, then you will be able to earn TWICE the amount of credits for each victory. This will make it much easier to gain more credits and experience. As stated previously, NPCing is more efficient than doing PvP in power hour. However, if this is too monotonous, then doing PvP in power hour can still net a good amount of credits.

1vs1 is more effective for farming credits, simply because it's faster. Faster wins and losses means more credits. If you feel like you lose a lot in 1vs1 (due to level, rank or class), you should do 2vs2 or Juggernaut (if you can). 2vs2 wins can give you a lot of credits, and there's a chance that you will be partnered with a good player. Of course, there is a chance that you will get a bad partner too. Just try and win as many battles as you can in your preferred battle mode, and the credits will come. Remember to be wise when spending your credits as well. Don't waste them on weapons, armours or robots that you don't plan on using. Also, only upgrade item stats and damage if you are absolutely certain that you will use them. Upgrading weapons with cores you like is always a smart idea. If you're not sure how you should spend your credits/varium, you can always ask for assistance in Epicduel Q&A.

The final way to get credits is to go in the Arcade. The Arcade relies on luck, but if you're lucky, you could win a credit jackpot. The highest credit prize is 10k, and there are a lot of other lower credit prizes. Arcade tokens can be obtained during the gifting event, from codes and also from missions (including dailies). Check this Wiki page for more information regarding the Arcade.

NOTE: It has been announced that the Gifting event will return this December. This is a great opportunity to gain credits. Remember to check the #EDGifts hashtag on Twitter to find information regarding when players will be gifting. I should also add that, during other time of the year, the #EDCodes hashtag is useful to find Codes for the game. Codes can be redeemed for credits too. Just remember to be polite and grateful to the gifters and coders who spend their money on making us all richer!

I already referred to the gifting event at the very end. Thanks to Rogue Ninja for suggesting a separate section for the arcade. I've added that now. Most gifters last year were usually around Frysteland (Edgar Boothe) but checking the #EDGifts hashtag on Twitter is the best way to keep in the loop about where players are gifting.
